“This company was sent by America Home Shield for HVAC issues (rattling noise). I must say I am always very hesitant to use some of the contractors AHS uses. I always check reviews & was disappointed when I saw so many bad reviews for this company. However, a neighbor who is an HVAC tech told me the problem was my blower wheel. I decided to use AC Wizard to see what they would say. Jonathan was the technician who was sent out to my home on a Wednesday. He showed up on time & went straight to work. He also diagnosed my blower wheel had gone bad, he explained everything & even showed me pictures. He proceeded to change it out & the noise ceased. On Saturday, my air stopped working & the fan wouldn’t come on at all. AHS called AC Wizard, who sent Jonathan back out on Tuesday. He found that the motor needed to also be replaced & he fixed it right away. Again, Jonathan explained what happened and told me I would be good to go. I was thankful I didn’t have to wait a week or more for assistance. Thanks goodness because Texas heat is no joke! The best part is it was all covered by AHS so no additional money out of my pocket. Jonathan was kind, patient, professional, and good at explaining what the issues were. I don’t know about any of the other technicians, but if I had to use them again, I would request Jonathan…”

“This company was assigned by American Home Shield to diagnose my AC after it stopped working. The technician spent less than 10 minutes at my home, asked me what the symptoms were, and did not open the blower or perform what I considered a meaningful inspection. After he left, I reviewed the diagnosis report and was surprised to see it stated the blower motor had failed due to a power surge. My home is equipped with a whole-house surge protector, yet the technician never asked about it or explained how he determined a power surge was the cause. To my knowledge, the blower motor was not physically inspected for evidence of surge damage before that conclusion was made. Based on my experience, I do not believe a thorough diagnosis was performed, and I was not given a clear explanation of the findings. I expected a proper inspection before such a determination was made.”

“Worse service ever and they were not interested at all in trying yo make this matter right!! I only used them because it’s who my home warranty sent me to I’d rather had used the bigger more experienced companies but you live & learn! Long story short they sent someone out after a couple days of having to order part he came back replaced part and then a couple weeks later ac start doing same thing but worse this time we had to call out fire department & medics cause we thought it caused a gas leak! So I didn’t have days to wait on getting them back out here so I went with my first mind this time and called one of the bigger highly rated companies they came out same day! And before removing anything called my husband & I up to show us the problem the piece just replaced by AC “non-wizards”was completely installed wrong!!! They didn’t even used correct screws & one part they didn't even bother to place a screw in! So that piece fell started rubbing against another piece & started to burn I can only imagine what would’ve happened if we hadn’t been home when it happened to immediately shut off system!! So now we had to pay an additional $620 to the new company for a new piece & to reinstall!! Who has money to waste in these hard economic times! So if you don’t want to waste your money don’t use this company! I have pics, video & written documentation!! And this new better experienced company wouldn’t touch a thing until they showed & proved all this to us because they knew we had just had AC wizzards out to replace the exact piece!! Texas is too hot & times are too hard to deal with ac companies trying to get over!!! Highly Do Not Recommend!!! I’ve also filed complaint with BBB”

“​I had a very disappointing experience with AC Wizard. They were sent by my home warranty company because my blower wasn’t working. The technician spent only a few minutes in the attic before claiming a "voltage spike" caused the failure. Because they labeled it as something other than normal wear and tear, the claim was denied , and I was quoted $1,800 for a replacement. ​I decided to get a second opinion from a local technician who discovered the actual issue was different [ drain clog] and that blower was fine otherwise. He fixed it and the unit works perfectly now. Not sure if the tech was having a bad day or this is way they determine HVAC issues. Strongly advise using a local technician [ not from warranty companies] for a second opinion to avoid fixing issues that never existed.”

“Used AC Wizard through my home warranty to do a seasonal tune up and was told no problems and less than a month later was told it’s leaking very badly and needs the coil replaced. Was told that should have been caught during the tune up. Be careful using AC Wizard”
