About

L And S Mechanical operates out of Dallas, Texas as an HVAC contractor that also covers plumbing and electrical needs for both single family homes and commercial buildings. They have built up more than thirty years of hands on experience installing and maintaining these systems across over one hundred thousand Texas properties. Homeowners in the Dallas area can reach them for everything from routine maintenance to full installations with a single phone call that connects them to service for air conditioning heating and related trades. This setup helps address problems where multiple systems interact in a house.

Their technicians handle specific jobs such as restoring AC that has gone out or repairing leaks that leave homes without water. In one case a manager stepped in to send someone the same day after a plumbing issue dragged on for days. Names like David have come up for solid work on HVAC units under warranty while other calls involve getting new customers signed up for service plans. They check backgrounds on every tech and keep them trained on current standards without pushing unneeded work since pay is not commission based. This covers service across Dallas Fort Worth and nearby metros with licensed crews for the full range of heating air conditioning and plumbing fixes.

Customers keep coming back because of the fast fixes and reliable outcomes on jobs like warranty HVAC repairs and emergency plumbing. They note the professional handling once the right person gets involved and the way issues get resolved without extra hassle. Consistent comments highlight good communication when it counts and solid quality that lasts after the visit. Speed in getting out to properties in the heat of Texas summers stands out along with fair pricing on covered work. DIRT Score 5.0 from 2100 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

This company has been completely worthless with HVAC. Our unit is under warranty, so we had no option but to use this company. Our AC went out on 6/9/26. We put in a maintenance request with our property management, and they said someone would reach out from this company. We didn’t hear anything, and it was over 80° in the house, so we reached out. Someone was sent out, diagnosed a damper issue, then did a temporary fix until they could get the part. The temporary fix lasted one day then went out. We called again, were told they were still waiting on the part, and they sent another tech out who did a temporary fix again. It lasted one hour after he left before it stopped working. We call again, turns out they had the part the entire time but wouldn’t be able to come out for several days. They were supposed to come out between 8-10am on Wednesday. Called at 9:30 and were told the tech was on the way. Called at 10:20 asking why he was late, turns out he was out sick. They rescheduled us for 3pm that day. Came out and fixed the damper, and house got slightly cooler and then started climbing again. Now, our home got up to 80° again last night when the thermostat is set at 69°. We have been dealing with these people for going on 2 weeks. The customer service, although they make it clear through their hold message that it is award winning (which we heard at least 100 times being on hold for 15 minutes at a time), is horrendous. They interrupt when you’re speaking, say they’ll call you back and never do, and have no idea what is going on. The techs apparently aren’t much better. Not once has anyone followed up with us to make sure everything is good. We are working on VISIT NUMBER FOUR. It’s ridiculous, we’re exhausted living in a hot home, and wouldn’t touch this company with a ten foot pole if we had the option. Tried calling them this morning, and everything online says they’re open and their voice message clearly states their hours, but my best guess is they’re closed for Juneteenth. So we get to go through another hot weekend and MAYBE be able to have someone out Monday. If you have the choice, do not give this company your money to do anything HVAC related.

Kaylee, Jana and Destine are truly an all star terrible team. It takes a special gift to be this bad at customer service. 5 calls 1+ hour hold time combined, 3 people, all to just sign on as a customer for the one year plan. I initially gave L&S Mechanical a 5 star review because of the David the tech, he is amazing.

Nothing says “quality new home experience” like a major HVAC failure after just two years. Shoutout to L&S Mechanical for honoring the letter of their warranty while completely missing the spirit of it. Yes, the part is covered but only if you also pay their labor and only if they’re the ones installing it. Want just the warranted part to use your own licensed contractor? Not an option. So the warranty exists… just not in a way that’s actually helpful. And of course, Bloomfield Homes was equally helpful by explaining there’s nothing they can do either. Good to know that once the ink dries, so does the support. Lesson learned: “brand new” doesn’t mean “problem-free,” and “under warranty” doesn’t necessarily mean “covered.” Between poor flexibility, rigid policies, and no real support, this has been an extremely frustrating experience. I expected far better from companies tied to a brand new build.

Update- When I could talk to a person in charge, she did make it right and they did come out the same day.- I appreciate her letting me vent and listening to what happened If I could give less than a 1 star- we have been without water for 2 days waiting for them to fix a leak- the first person they sent out did not fix the problem, but said it was fixed. I had to wait another 2 days for them to even send someone out... very poor customer service, do not believe the hold music...

So far my toilet looks fantastic . I have not tried using it yet since I have to wait at least until tonight or tomorrow for the caulking to get thoroughly dried since Perry Homes did approved to install a brand new toilet bowl & everything that needed to be replaced . Christopher Garrett from L&S Mechanical is a great plumber . He did an excellent job on my toilet issue . He was right on time , efficient and very professional & knowledgeable. He knows exactly what the problem was and fixed it . He knows his stuff very well . I would definitely recommend him to everyone . I am satisfied with his work well done 👍. Kudos to him ! I also would like to mentioned that Beau Dahlman from Perry Homes Builder was great to work with , he made sure all were done right and in a timely manner and updated me the whole process in fixing the problem, communicating with me and L & S Mechanical . Kudos to him too . Kudos to the whole team . Annie T from Cane Island , Katy Texas .
