“One of the world's great day hikes. A true bucket list item. It is a strenuous hike for even moderately/mostly fit people. About 14 miles out and back. Mostly uphill with some up and down in the middle when you're nearing the Chilean Refuge. Budget about eight hours, though I finished in 5:15 when I was super determined. Went in mid-April 2024. Surprisingly balmy weather that day, and surprisingly crowded. I saw more people from China than Chile lol.”

The views of the iconic towers are breathtaking, and the trail is well-marked and maintained, making the experience accessible for most reasonably fit hikers. The scenery along the way — turquoise lakes, glaciers, and rugged mountains — is simply unforgettable. Even though the hike can be challenging at times, reaching the base makes it all worthwhile. Facilities at the base and along the trail are basic but functional, and the sense of being immersed in nature is unbeatable. It’s the perfect place to disconnect and fully appreciate the beauty of Patagonia.”

“Incredible journey and one of the more difficult hike for us. We got to the base right at 4pm and the Ranger was kind to let us take a few photos before turning people back. You will be rewarded with an incredible and stunning view! The journey there also offers beautiful forest and streams. The day ended with rain and darkness but we still felt blessed!”

“Prepare for a whooping. A worthwhile, day long whooping that will test your quads, knees, calves, and resolve. We tackled this hike as a family and started around 9 AM. It was an intense 14-miles and 10+ hour day. Lots of amazing views along the way and calories burnt! Do it!”
