About

Longhorn Service Solutions works out of Dallas, Texas on HVAC systems for homes across the city. Dallas summers push air conditioners hard while winter cold fronts test furnaces, and the company fields calls from homeowners dealing with units that quit cooling or fail to heat evenly. Their technicians handle residential HVAC jobs that keep indoor temperatures steady when the weather outside swings from one extreme to the other. The outfit stays busy because local houses rely on these systems year round, and breakdowns happen at the worst times.

Technicians from the company show up for both routine HVAC service and other appliance repairs that homeowners bring to them. One customer named Shilpa Nagda had Joseph W come out after other techs got the diagnosis wrong on her Samsung four-door flex refrigerator. He replaced the compressor and fixed leaking evaporator coils with careful work that got the unit running again. Another homeowner with a dryer that overheated after twenty or thirty minutes received a next-day visit, though the fix later required duct cleaning and moving a washer to finish the job. A third customer brought in an LG front-load washer and dryer set showing a UE code on blanket loads and left feeling the visit turned into a push for extra services.

Customers keep coming back because the crew moves fast on appointments and shows solid skill on the jobs they complete right the first time. Reviews highlight technicians who take the time to get the root cause instead of guessing, along with clear explanations during the visit. Speed stands out when next-day slots open up, and quality shows in repairs that hold after the initial fix. Price and communication get mentioned when the work matches what was discussed without surprise add-ons. DIRT Score 5 from 722 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

Joseph W was amazing! He deserves 10 stars for his expertise. When other technicians had previously misdiagnosed, he accurately diagnosed the problem with my Samsung 4 door flex refrigerator. He replaced the compressor as well as the evaporater coils which had a leak. He was meticulous in repairing this beautiful fridge and it took a good 4 and 1/2 hours. I was so pleased with his work and I would recommend him and his supervisor should give him a big raise. Thank you to Joseph W for his expert and professional repairs. Joseph is truly brilliant and very experienced in his knowledge and repair of Appliances. I really appreciate that Joseph was able to repair my premium Samsung refrigerator when the previous technician had misdiagnosed and told me that there was a leak in the walls of the refrigerator and was unserviceable and to basically get rid of the fridge and buy a new one. The Supervisor from Longhorn Service then sent their most experienced and respected technician Joseph for a second opinion. After Joseph's correct diagnosis and repairs, the fridge is now already back to working exceptionally well! Thank you Joseph W! Highly recommend Longhorn Services for any of your Appliance repairs.

I contacted Longhorn regarding an issue with my dryer overheating about 20–30 minutes into a cycle. Aside from the overheating, the dryer was fully functional. We were able to manage by stopping cycles early. Longhorn was able to schedule a next-day appointment, and I do want to note that the technician was courteous, on time, and communication from the company regarding arrival was great. During the visit, the technician ran diagnostics, including testing the heating element, voltage, etc. indicating everything was within normal range. He concluded that the temperature sensor was likely faulty and recommended a repair costing over $400. Reluctantly, I agreed in hopes I wouldn’t need to replace the dryer. Unfortunately, immediately after the repair, we ran a cycle and experienced the exact same overheating issue. I contacted Longhorn again and the technician returned for a follow-up visit. At that point, I was told the motor had failed and that I would need to replace the dryer. This is extremely frustrating. Prior to service, the dryer functioned aside from overheating, and we were able to use it carefully. After the repair, not only was the original issue unresolved, but the dryer is now completely non-functional. While I cannot definitively prove that the repair caused the motor failure, the timing raises serious concerns. It is difficult to accept paying $400+ for a repair that did not fix the issue and was immediately followed by total equipment failure. I would appreciate accountability, a clearer explanation of what went wrong, and a fair resolution given the circumstances.

Dont us this place. Had them repair my dryer, but because i did not agree to let them clean the duct work, when i tired to use the dryer for the first time after the repair, it did not work. So i had them come out and clean the duct work and repair the dryer again. The tech had to move the washer to clean the duct work, now there is water in the utility room. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on my. Don’t use this company. I won’t.

I had Longhorn Home Services come out to inspect my less than 2 year old LG front load washer and dryer. The entire experience felt like a high pressure upsell operation from start to finish. The washer was intermittently showing a UE code when we wash blankets. During the actual service visit, their own report states they ran multiple test cycles and could NOT reproduce the issue. Despite that, they immediately recommended replacing the suspension system and quoted over $537 for the washer repair and “maintenance.” For the dryer, their own report states the dryer was heating properly, yet they still generated another $574 quote for “maintenance,” dryer vent cleaning, internal cleaning, and a lint filter replacement. Combined, they attempted to sell me over $1,100 in repairs and maintenance for appliances that are less than two years old. What made this even more concerning was the service tech spent a significant amount of time on the phone with the office while at my house seemingly trying to figure out what to quote on the dryer after acknowledging it was functioning properly. The tech also admitted he could not properly complete portions of the dryer cleaning because he did not have the proper brush or equipment in his truck. So basically they came out charged a fee, and when they couldn't upsell me $1100 he had to go and didn't have the right tools or parts. No evidence was provided showing failed suspension components, no measurements were shown, no diagnostic proof was provided, and no meaningful repair work was actually completed. I later had another appliance company inspect both units, and they confirmed neither appliance needed the repairs or major maintenance Longhorn attempted to sell me. When I requested a refund of the service fee due to the lack of evidence supporting the recommendations, or work completed, they refused. Update - the folks at longhorn reached out to me and offered to come back out. And apologized for the experience as well as refunded the service fee and agreed to take a closer look at invoices that had been submitted to clients.

Jason came to take a look at our dishwasher today, and was so professional and kind. He was quick, spotted the issue, and helped us figure out how to fix it ourselves! Told us to call him if anything goes wrong! Wonderful service! Definitely using Longhorn, and Jason again for any other service or repair issues.
