Rayford A/C & Heating
HVAC Contractor · Dallas, TX
About
Rayford A/C & Heating handles air conditioning and heating for homes in Fort Worth, Texas. They take on HVAC repairs including outdoor fan motors and indoor blowers, along with electrical panel replacements needed for system upgrades. Techs such as Carl arrive with electricians to go over panel options, and Kevin handles service on motors and thermostats. The Texas climate keeps these crews busy with units that quit during peak heat, and the company fields calls for both repairs and bigger jobs that include pulling permits.
They send crews to replace fan motors on outdoor units, install thermostats and blower fans, and finish panel replacements with permits after a competitive bid. One job saw a team lay out every option in detail before starting work on a service panel and completing it within days as promised. Another call led to a thermostat and blower fan install, though it followed a full week of no cooling after the initial visit. The process starts with on-site diagnosis and clear quotes, then moves to the actual fix once the homeowner agrees.
Customers often note the clear explanations of options and solid bids that lead to completed panel work on time. At the same time many point out problems with rusty used parts swapped onto outdoor units, slow response times that left homes without air conditioning for days, and calls that went unanswered during hot stretches. These patterns across dozens of jobs produce the mixed record. DIRT Score 2.64 from 37 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Professional, knowledge, and did great work! I stopped taking bids after speaking with these guys. Carl and his electrician promptly arrived on time to estimate my panel replacement. Both were knowledgeable and took time to explain my options in as much depth as I requested. Within a few minutes Carl made very competitive bid and he offered to get the work including permit requirements within just a few days. Carl’s guys started on time and made short work of the panel. The work was completed in the time he had quoted. The 1970’s old aluminum wiring posed no problems to crew. Again, the guys and carl took the time to describe and explain what was done during the panel replacement. Power back on and no casualties in the freezer or refrigerator. City inspection green tag issued as expected. Carl followed up with to make sure I was happy and satisfied with the work and process. I will recommend these guys further!”
“Beware and read reviews on this business. They put in old parts when dealing with your home warranty provider. We had a fan motor go out on the outside unit, Kevin the service guy put on a rusty old fan motor and when asked about it said they use new parts. If we had never checked it out and noticed it was old we would have been ripped off. Once caught they came back out and put on a new fan motor. When speaking to Carl about this situation he acts like it was no big deal. I’ve never heard of someone not caring about their business. No apologies or sorry from this company. Not a reputable company, stay far away from them. Also attached a previous review and picture from another customer that had a home warranty.”
“The team was knowledgeable and took the time to clearly explain all my options in as much detail as I needed. Within minutes, they provided a very competitive bid and assured me they could complete the work, including permits, within just a few days. True to their word, the panel replacement was finished on time, and they carefully walked me through what had been done. Power was restored without issue, and thankfully, nothing in the fridge or freezer was lost. The city inspection passed without a hitch, receiving a green tag as expected. Carl even followed up afterward to ensure I was fully satisfied—I’ll definitely recommend these guys to others.”
