Rk Mechanical Co Inc
HVAC Contractor · Dallas, TX
About
RK Mechanical Co Inc works out of Dallas, Texas on HVAC systems for homes and buildings in the area. Dallas summers hit hard with long stretches of intense heat that push air conditioners to their limits and often lead to breakdowns right when people need cooling the most. The company handles mechanical service calls that come up in both houses and larger facilities, sending crews out to address whatever issues homeowners or managers report on their heating and cooling equipment. Their trucks cover local routes as part of keeping these systems running through the tough Texas weather patterns that test units year after year.
They take on jobs like fixing toilet problems where quotes reached seven hundred dollars for a special model, though one customer located the part themselves and handled it for under sixty dollars with basic online guidance. Another project involved installing emergency eyewash stations at a facility where the crew stayed open about costs, offered ways to adjust the setup to fit exact needs, and finished faster than expected while improving on the old stations. At the same time complaints have come in about a Chevy Silverado with truck number twenty two dash zero four three driving aggressively on roads like fifty sixth avenue and about repeated failures to arrive on time for work at a high rise condo downtown.
Customers have noted repeated problems with inflated pricing on straightforward repairs, drivers showing little regard for others on the road, and no shows that left people waiting at home multiple times without progress. The clearest positive feedback came from the eyewash station installation where clear pricing and solid results stood out against the usual pattern. These issues around cost control, reliability, and basic conduct on the job add up across the reviews and explain the overall standing. DIRT Score 2.36 from 25 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Toilet issues that RK said would cost up to or over 700 dollars. It is a special type of toilet, if you were wondering. I found the part & youtubed how to make the repairs. It cost me less than 60 dollars, including next day shipping from Home Depot online order🫤”
“We used RK Mechanical to install emergency eyewash stations for our facility. They were transparent on pricing and even gave us the option to customize the installation based on our needs. We had the work done relatively quick, and they even left it better than the previous eyewash stations. We will definitely consider using them again for any of our facilities future needs.”
“RK Mechanical truck was driving like he was drunk on 56th ave, cutting people off and brake checking. Did not get plate but his truck number was 22-043. Chevy Silverado. Be aware of this company drivers. No respect for fellow travelers.”
“I live in a high-rise condo in Downtown Denver where RK Mechanical is a pre-approved vendor. I've had nothing but frustrating experiences with them in every instance we've needed their help. One time I had to stay home from work three times because they failed to show up within a reasonable time of their scheduled appointment for the first two attempts. The time before that, it was only one late appearance before they got it right. To be fair, on the most recent one (I'm moving and used them out of convenience before we bolted), they showed up on time. I've also had multiple billing issues with them, compounded by the fact that they say they'll get back to you and never do. It's a constant chase to get them to finalize any disputes. For one non-urgent duct maintenance request with a question about a warranty, it dragged on about 18 months before it was fixed. Because it wasn't urgent, I didn't push the issue, but I also shouldn't have had to. Overall, I've had very little positive experience working with them. Nice people, but I would recommend someone else who's more on top of things.”
“We just use them on a water heater for my restaurant they were quickly to respond but didn’t do the job right ... after a month I finally got the bill invoice and what the driver told me and the invoice is too different amount..... the park cost me 3x as much what they quoted me for it. It only a spark ignition module for the water heater a small two spark plug module ... I can find it on eBay for only $60 and less now they charge me $439.82 ... shame on this company”
