As a parent of four children who each attended UTD for their undergraduate degrees in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, I am deeply thankful. All four of my kids received generous scholarships—some full rides—and one even got paid to attend. UTD’s support for National Merit students is unparalleled. Beyond scholarships, they had opportunities for on-campus jobs to help with living costs, and the internships were outstanding. Despite tough economic times, they all landed incredible job offers. One is now a PhD at Stanford with paid scholarship, another is at law school at UT Austin with a top offers, and another has a full-time role at Texas Instruments. The youngest is still a freshman, but I know they’re on a great path. UTD is a beacon of excellence—generous scholarships, world-class facilities, and a top-tier education. I truly believe it’s the best university in the U.S. for a bright future.”

“This is the home at got my masters although I did not get to enjoy much of campus activities, I was not involved. I did of course explore the campus and enjoyed some of the amenities. I loved this school and the culture . I would recommend anyone to come here if they want an top rated academic experience”

“This is by far the worst university I have experienced. I strongly advise anyone to avoid it. The staff are extremely rude, unprofessional, and consistently disrespectful toward students. Instead of supporting students, the administration seems focused on extracting more money through pressure and threats. The environment feels unsafe and unwelcoming, both academically and personally. There is no support for academic growth. The staff can be dismissive, unhelpful, and at times even hostile, which creates a stressful and discouraging atmosphere. The deans are especially disappointing, largely unreachable, unresponsive, and seemingly indifferent to student needs. Efforts to contact them are often blocked by staff, and instead of receiving support, students may feel pressured or intimidated. Overall, this institution fails to provide even the minimum standards expected from a university. I regret attending and would not recommend it to anyone.”

“Follow your instincts - DON’T SEND YOUR KID HERE. Multiple policies are anti-student and exist simply to serve UTD’s interests. Guidance and career counseling are literally jokes - students don’t bother. The “#1 in internships” is a sham but fabricate one or don’t graduate. Little value for the money spent.”
