About

United General Service Llc operates as an HVAC contractor serving homes across Dallas Texas where intense summer heat combines with sudden storms to strain cooling systems and expose weak spots in older properties. They handle calls from owners who run into trouble after previous DIY additions or poor remodel work that allows water intrusion during rain. The company steps in for air conditioning repairs and related house fixes that surface in these situations often dealing with leaks and installations that leave indoor spaces uncomfortable when temperatures rise. Local homeowners in Dallas frequently deal with these exact issues in properties that have seen multiple changes over the years.

Their work includes sorting out flooding in sunrooms caused by badly built back half renovations and restoring air conditioners to working order for repeat customers who call back over time. One project addressed leaks that appeared with every rain after an addition that had not been done right while another involved getting cooling systems running again in homes that needed ongoing attention. Angie Irvin noted the service stood out for A/C and general repairs while Gus Jones reported solid results on multiple fixes across a decade without any letdowns. They also take on electrical jobs tied to property closings though some of these have led to unresolved problems when permits were skipped.

Customers give consistent credit for the quality of the repairs and workmanship along with clear recommendations for future HVAC or house calls in Dallas. At the same time speed draws complaints when fixes drag on after the first visit and communication suffers when crews fail to follow through on issues like unpermitted work. Price feedback remains limited overall but the pattern shows strong marks on the actual fixes paired with shortfalls in resolution and compliance that pull the rating down. What Customers Say

I had a great experience with United General Service while remodeling the back half of our home. After buying our house, we found 2 'DIY additions' that were poorly built--everytime it rained water would flood our sunroom. We had reached out to several contractors, but were not able to settle on a good price and vision. However, when we spoke to Jimmy he listened to what we needed and was able to come in to our budget. Jimmy was great to work with and his team was amazing. They were knowledgeable patient and hard working. If we had questions or suggestions they were always willing to accommodate. The team re-roofed the house, built two new rooms, and even added a shower to our tiny bathroom. If you are considering a construction team to tackle your roof, additions or fence these are the guys you want. Also, Trevor and Travis are the real superstars. They consistently went the extra mile, collaborated with us and their attention to detail was impressive.

Performed unlicensed and/or unpermitted electrical work before closing on our property. The work didn’t fix any problems and they are refusing to provide a timely resolution. I keep getting blown off. I have contacted an attorney.

Excellent service! I highly recommend this company. I will definitely call on them again for any A/C or house repairs.

I'm never disappointed with the quality of work provided by UGS. They've made several repairs to my home over the span of 10 years.

BEWARE! We did work for them as a subcontractor, and it has now been 81 days, and he refuses to pay us for work he and his wife both authorized. Our 1st invoice was for less than we originally quoted them. A second trip was made at the request of Michelle and authorized by her "to make the customer happy" - we dropped what we were doing and ran to accommodate their request in hopes of building a good business relationship. Jimmy refuses to pay stating the 2nd trip wasn't authorized and Michelle plays dump and says she only does what Jimmy tells her to do. If she can authorize the work to be done, she should be able to authorize the payment for the work! If you are doing sub work for them, make sure you get a signature and don't let your lien rights expire!
