What Customers Say
“David Reyna answered my “ANGI”inquiry immediately with a price and a description of what maintenance was included. He arrived on time and went to work cleaning my outside unit. When he found a problem he took a picture of it and showed the damage explained how it occurred and explained the short term and long term problem and fix. (Ants and Geckos) I decided to go for the fix. I’m very glad I did. I have recommended him to my son.”
“I had an excellent experience with DR Air & Heat Services. From start to finish, the service was professional, prompt, and thorough. The technician arrived on time, clearly explained the issue, and completed the repair quickly. Everything is now running perfectly, and the price was fair with no surprises. I really appreciate their honesty, attention to detail, and customer care. I highly recommend them for anyone needing reliable HVAC service!”
“On a Sunday evening, David Reyna drove into a rainstorm to make an emergency repair to the AC for my elderly tenant. He soon had it running cool air. In a rush of gratitude, I Zelled him the $825, asking him to email me the invoice. (It was my own idea to pay immediately.) In case you did not know this, it is wise to make your payment AFTER you have received the invoice, to understand the details of what was done; and you will obviously need the invoice for tax and business records. Already paid, David was not easy to reach, then his invoice was difficult to comprehend, as is often the case with a handwritten, specialty-work invoice. David would not assist (not exactly a surprise), but a friend and I enhanced the photo and were able to make out most of it. David had replaced the 40/5 dual-run capacitor, some melted wires, a corroded terminal, and lost freon. After googling the price range for these services, I estimated that I had been overcharged, even for an urgent call, by about $280; but this was not a big deal, even assuming my estimation was close. Communication was nearly impossible after work completion and payment, and that was what bothered me the most. His phone line accepted neither texts nor calls. I had his email from Zelle. Email eventually worked—but not before he understood consequences—and that was how I got him to send the invoice to me. I saw that it had been written at the time of service and signed by my tenant, who was not given a copy. He apologized and explained that he had just experienced a serious family health crisis. The day after David’s service call, I received a very different opinion, from a different contractor, on the urgency and cost to eventually replace the compressor and evaporator coil for my very-old system. This could go to differences in professional judgment. I think David was genuinely trying his best to estimate for me a range of interventions with corresponding costs. All the frustrations aside, I still recommend David Reyna. He did apologize for the delayed invoice, he is fully vetted by Angi / HomeAdvisor, his work is probably of excellent quality, and he was the first to call in our emergency. “I’ll be there in about 20 minutes,” he said. “Oh, has the heavy rain let up?” “No, but I don’t like to leave an elderly person without air conditioning.””
“Had a great experience with these guys today. My AC blower motor went out yesterday afternoon. I talked to them at 8:30 am today, part was ordered, picked up and tech on way in a flash. Arrived at 11:45. All up and running by 1:30. Best experience. Reasonable price. They are getting all my future business. ❤️”
“DR Air & Heat Services is outstanding. We had a bit of a problem with our thermostat which meant the house was a miserable 88 degrees at some points. DR Air & Heat was my 4th call after 6pm, the gentleman I spoke to was helpful, kind and checked to see if one of the guys was able to swing by and take a look. So, after about a half an hour a very polite, knowledgable, kind young man arrived. *I'm sorry I can't remember his name, it was so hot I couldn't think*. He was able to get our system up and running in no time at all, even after he had already had a very long hot day. The fee was very reasonable and the guy was an absolute gem. I will be happy to recommend these folks anytime someone asks. And thank you, DR Air & Heat for helping out strangers in a hot mess.”
