About

Rodney Shawn Preston handles HVAC work in Denton, Texas. He focuses on residential heating and cooling systems, helping homeowners manage the extreme summer heat and winter cold that hits North Texas hard. Based right in Denton, he takes on jobs from basic tune-ups to full system replacements, working directly with houses that often have older units struggling against the local climate conditions. Preston knows the demands of the area where temperatures push equipment to its limits year after year, and he keeps his operation set up to respond to those needs without extra layers.

He installs new air conditioners and furnaces, performs regular maintenance checks, and troubleshoots breakdowns like compressor failures or duct leaks that show up often in Denton homes. Preston shows up with the tools to test airflow, recharge refrigerant, and swap out parts on units that stop working during a heat wave. Homeowners call him for seasonal service before summer hits or when a system quits on a cold night, and he handles the full process from diagnosis through the final test run to confirm everything blows at the right temperature.

Customers note solid results on repair quality and fair pricing for the work done, though some mention slower response times and mixed communication that pull the overall marks down to average levels. The feedback shows steady praise for getting systems back online without unnecessary upsells, balanced against occasional delays in scheduling. DIRT Score 3.3 from 24 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

Warning, this is long. My husband had a routine colonoscopy 4 weeks ago - clear bill of health and told to repeat in 10 years. A couple days ago he experience severe stomach pain and vomiting which we thought was likely a virus. He went to the ER where they did a CT scan and found what they believed was an 6-8cm mass in his colon that caused a bowel obstruction. Before being transported, that ER doctor called to talk to Dr Panzer about the recent colonoscopy findings. I don’t know what was said other than he told the ER doctor he doesn’t go to the hospital. He was admitted hours later, another CT scan performed where they confirmed the mass. Over the next day we saw oncology, GI doctors and specialists. Everyone was as shocked and confused as we were on how nothing was found. I wanted answers or guidance from Dr Panzer so I called the office to speak with him. I spoke with Kyle, the office manager that was concerned and said he would have Dr Panzer call when he got out of procedures mid day. Nothing. No follow up after the first ER doctor called, no follow up from Dr Panzer or Kyle, or a nurse, nothing. Fast forward, further review of labs and scans, they believe that during the colonoscopy there was a perforation to the bowel that abscessed or became infected that lead to thickening of a section of the sigmoid colon causing the obstruction. It was to risky to go in and biopsy so he was on IV antibiotics and sent home with oral antibiotics yesterday. He is doing much better and we will follow back up for new scans and next steps in a couple weeks. I do believe Dr Panzer has a great bedside manner but the lack of follow up or concern to something this serious is so disappointing and negligent. Beware!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Gastroenterologist – Highly Recommend Dr. Shawn Panzer at North Texas GI Specialists is an outstanding gastroenterologist. He is extremely caring, knowledgeable, and thorough in his approach. As an independent physician, he takes the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and make sure you feel comfortable throughout the process. He is also very punctual, which I really appreciated, and his staff is friendly, professional, and easy to work with. The entire team made the experience smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend Dr. Shawn Panzer for colonoscopy procedures and any gastroenterology specialty care. You will be in excellent hands. Jim Purgason Bartonville TX

Dr Panzer is EXCELLENT. His front staff (or the lady answering the phone) NOT so much. She WILL cut you mid sentence and talk over you. EXTREMELY rude. Some people need to realize that customer service is NOT for everyone and this lady is the PERFECT example of that. She needs to find a job where she is not interacting with people. Then people complain why they can't find a job!

Had an outpatient procedure this morning. Dr. Panzer was 1st one to see me in the prep room. He is very professional and personal. Prep team was outstanding. A had an Amazing experience and would recommend Dr. Panzer.

In my many decades of life, I’ve met perhaps two or three physicians that really cared about their patients. Dr. Panzer is one of these. He truly truly cares about the “entirety” of his patient, not just their G.I. problems.
