About
Martin Diaz A/C & Heating operates out of Edinburg, Texas and handles all the HVAC work that keeps homes comfortable through the region's long hot stretches and occasional cold snaps. The crew focuses on air conditioning and heating systems for local homeowners, taking on everything from new installs to ongoing maintenance that prevents bigger breakdowns later. They show up ready to deal with the dust, humidity, and heavy use that these units face year after year in South Texas, building a steady reputation through repeat calls on the same properties.
Homeowners reach them for full AC replacements, leak repairs, and vent cleanouts when sludge builds up and water starts pooling. One customer had water leaking everywhere with heavy sludge in the vents and got Gus on site the same day for a complete fix. Another family had a new unit installed that included the thermostat and filter setup, with the techs walking through every detail before leaving the house spotless. They also handle routine service calls on systems put in years earlier, keeping older equipment running without constant callbacks. The work stays straightforward, with techs answering questions on the spot and finishing jobs without dragging extra days.
Customers keep coming back because the jobs move fast, the fixes hold up, and the pricing stays reasonable compared to what others quote for the same problems. Reviews highlight quick response times, clean and thorough work on installs and repairs, plus clear explanations that remove the guesswork. Quality shows in systems still running strong eight years after installation, while communication keeps everyone informed from the first call through final walkthrough. What Customers Say
“Diaz put in our AC almost 8 years ago and have since been on top of any issues we had. Customer service is excellent.”
“We called Diaz Air Conditioning when it was noted that our air conditioner was leaking water all over the place and there was a significant amount of sludge accumulated in the vents. We got an appointment almost immediately and Gus, came that SAME DAY!! He was personable, efficient and very thorough. He had to come back the next day to finish up his work and he made sure that everything was done properly and thoroughly. There were things he could have done to charge us more, but he recommended that wasn't necessary and was very honest about everything. Fair price too for everything that he did! We had an issue the next day unrelated to what he did, with the wires burning out and he came back and did that for free! We will definitely be using Diaz Air Conditioning for our AC repair and maintenance in the future, and will definitely be requesting GUS!!!”
“Diaz Air Conditioning Service LLC just finished installing our AC unit. They were very professional, clean, thorough technicians and answered all our questions about the new unit, thermostat and filter unit. Highly recommended.”
“The best A/C experience i've had in NOLA since i've begun working in the property. Professional, affordable, knowledgeable...almost a little too good to be true! After being exhausted from dealing with either prices that are beyond what they should be, or techs who don't want to perform the work, Miguel and his crew find a way to be both cost-effective AND ready to do the job. Top recommendation.”
“Gus Moreno arrived and checked out the system after we had water from the coil pouring down our wall and the system was not cooling. I first began to feel suspicious when he decided he needed to undo all the wiring to the condenser unit. Suspicion rose when he didn't bring any electrical equipment or gauges to use during his diagnosis. It about 15 minutes for him to conclude that our entire system was toast and we absolutely needed to install a whole new one to the tune of nearly $4000. He kept going on about how this was the best deal. Feelingy skeptical, I managed to get my usual guy, who upon arrival noticed that the guy from Diaz had left the panel on my outdoor condenser open and all the wiring disconnected. Very unprofessional! And, as it turns out, the problem was a simple blown capacitor and a clogged drain line, which was able to be fixed for about $200. Diaz air-conditioning is a scammer and a liar. I clearly did not need a new system, yet he tried to sell me one. Do not call Diaz under any circumstances!”
