Arturo Montanez
HVAC Contractor · El Paso, TX
About
Arturo Montanez runs an HVAC operation out of Pearland Texas where he focuses on keeping residential heating and cooling systems running through the area's brutal summer heat and occasional winter freezes. Homeowners in this part of the Houston suburbs deal with constant humidity that strains air conditioners and leads to frequent breakdowns in older units. His work centers on straightforward service calls for local houses rather than big commercial jobs and he handles everything from routine filter changes to full system replacements when units fail during peak season.
Montanez sends techs out for common Pearland issues like clogged condensate lines that cause water damage or compressors that quit after years of nonstop running in the heat. They also fix thermostats that stop communicating with the system and recharge refrigerant on units that leak from corrosion in the salty air. Customers often need help with ductwork that has gaps letting hot attic air mix in and raise energy bills. The crew shows up with basic tools and parts to get things working again without dragging jobs out over multiple days unless major parts are backordered from suppliers.
Reviews for Arturo Montanez average out to a middling score because some homeowners like the direct way his team explains what went wrong and the total cost upfront while others complain about wait times when calls pile up during July heat waves. Price gets mentioned as fair on smaller repairs but higher when full replacements are needed and communication can vary depending on how busy the schedule is. Speed earns decent marks on emergency calls but quality depends on the specific job and how well the original install was done years ago. DIRT Score 3.1 from 51 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Had an appt at 1015. I Left at 1140 without seeing the Dr. Placed in a room for an hr without so much as a hey we’ll be right with you or I’m sorry for the wait do you need anything. Office botched a prior authorization last year as well leading to a denial of a claim. Unfortunately my experience has not been great these last couple years. I had great experiences before and in fact I really like my dr. Hopefully they get it together.”
“My parents have been going to this doctor's office for years but I'm now looking for a new provider as this place is the worse. The original issue we encountered was appointment related though we could deal with that as things happen and we all make mistakes. What I cannot deal with is the rude attitude of one Gloria, office manager. During my call, I pointed out to her some possible missteps that kept my 85+ yrs dad waiting for over 5 hours. Gloria seemed to get offended by my seriously gently mentioned observations. I calmly asked her why she felt she needed to talk down to me and she said she was only stating the facts. I was not making a complaint nor was I being difficult. She insisted on using her rude tone with me and I hung up on her. I then called my dad to suggest finding a new doctor. He informed me that while meeting with Dr Monroy they explained that their son needed some FMLA paperwork completed as he was the only person in the family who could go home without issue when needed. The Dr. then pointed out that his son really wasn't able to to go home without issue or he wouldn't need the paperwork. He also told them that my sister was to blame for my father having been placed under suicide watch as she's the one who called the cops when dad had a breakdown. I find that highly unprofessional and dangerous. My father now blames her and not himself for not taking his meds for his hospitalization. I'm finding my parents a new doctor and I don't recommend this guy or his office for anything.”
“It is a nightmare trying to get a referral going from here. I had to literally drive back here before my appointment at the sleep center to get the info needed out of these people so that the sleep center would see me. I had the sleep center on my cell phone ready to speak to them but they refused to take the call. In the end I’m screwed because they won’t send out the damn info that’s needed. Never coming back here again. Here goes another month long whole process of a new primary care Dr to get a referral to the sleep center for my sleep apnea. Thanks for nothing!”
“I really appreciate Dr. Monroy for the time and attention he gives during each visit. Unlike most doctors, he never rushes through appointments and truly takes the time to listen, explain things clearly, and make sure I’m comfortable with every step of my care. It’s rare to find a doctor who genuinely cares the way he does. Highly recommended!”
“I’m diabetic with out control and in only 3 weeks I’m getting a lot better with my numbers and have recover strain”
