B & G Air Conditioning
HVAC Contractor · El Paso, TX
About
B & G Air Conditioning works out of El Paso, TX handling HVAC repairs and installs for homes across the area. The outfit takes on air conditioning and heating jobs in a place where the heat pushes systems hard year after year. They handle unit replacements and regular service calls that keep older setups running through the long summers. Homeowners in El Paso often deal with swamp coolers that need swapping out for modern equipment or capacitors that fail after a season or two. The company sends crews to address these issues directly on site without extra layers of office back and forth.
Their work covers full installs of new air conditioning units to replace old swamp coolers along with capacitor swaps that run around two hundred dollars and pump replacements on existing systems. Crews also get called for compressor problems that show up after initial fixes and duct work checks when airflow stays weak. One job saw two units put in with a clean finish that held up for years until the next service round. Technicians handle the on site diagnostics and part changes while the office tracks the follow through on scheduling. In the dry El Paso conditions these tasks come up often as units run nonstop to fight the temperature spikes.
Customers give mixed feedback on how the jobs turn out with some noting the crews stay polite and the office answers calls quick enough on basic service. Others report repeated delays after a capacitor or pump swap left the system worse with no callbacks despite multiple promises and blame passed to old duct work instead of fixing the install. A few homes stayed hotter than before the work and required extra visits that never came through. This pattern of uneven results on follow up and lasting fixes shapes the overall standing. What Customers Say
“Good Company. Installed 2 new units replacing swamp coolets. Did good clean install, this was a few years back. Been out to service units as capacitors seem to go bad after a year or two but a 200 repair. Overall b&g is responsive the guys are very nice and polite and the office support is the best.”
“Worst experience ever! I had an expensive unit installed and my house is hotter than ever before. Carlos dictates to his workers what to say and write on the work orders. Said my house is old and duct work is required; blames a hot house to a bad duct. Shouldn't the duct work be addressed before installing a ten thousand unit in your home. And shouldn't the overall function of switching to refrigerated air be guaranteed? All I know is I had always had air in all rooms before with the replaced swamp cooler. Never had problems with duct work. Even when they were testing the unit, there was air in all rooms but by the time they did and re-did taping and all that because of leaks, there is no air in my kitchen area, there is no air in our TV room, and there is no air in my bed room. Carlos wanted to charge me additional thousand and some to tear the sheet rock to see the duct work problem and I would have to hire a contractor to repair sheet rock. Not everyone can afford refrigerated air and when I finally saved enough to switch, I end up totally dissatisfied. Carlos told his technician to write on order receipt, "The unit works, duct work is needed." Yes he'll install a unit in your home but he doesn't care if the refrigerated air you paid for in your house works or not.”
“Without a doubt the worst service I have EVER received on anything. Guy came out to replace my pump, and I have had nothing but problems with my HVAC ever since then. It has been a week and some change now and after 4-5 promises that they will send someone out, they have not. To make matters worse they want to charge me $105 again (service fee) even after they havent fixed my issue. I would've preferred to call someone else because this is ridiculous. Save yourself the hassle and call another company.”
“Absolutely disappointed with this company. Been given the runaround for two weeks. 1st service call should have fixed the issue right then and there after replacing the capacitor.. Had to call 4 days later for the same issue. Now they're saying it's the compressor that needs to be replaced even though the tech said it was a faulty capacitor that he replaced. Now they're refusing service to us because my wife was being stern and understandably upset at the situation. The service order for the first time the capacitor was replaced states it has a 30 day warranty for that service call. They are now refusing to honor that warranty. I recommend not to deal with this company. Sure they'll sweet talk you when it comes to sales and installation, but once the work is complete you won't matter to this company anymore. My wife is 8 months pregnant and El Paso is going thru excessive heat warning . This is not acceptable.”
“Very good pricing for conversion to refrigerated air. I was initially going to choose this company as my first choice but I couldn't choose them because I didn't have the cash or credit at the time I got approved elsewhere. Still a very good company. highly recommend for first time customers looking for competitive pricing and financing through synchrony and wells fargo, credit, or just cash.”
