El Paso Electric Co
HVAC Contractor · El Paso, TX
About
El Paso Electric Co operates out of El Paso, Texas, where they focus on HVAC work connected to the electric systems that power homes across West Texas and Southern New Mexico. Their service territory covers a wide area that includes both residential and commercial properties dealing with extreme heat and occasional cold snaps that put heavy demands on heating and cooling equipment. The company handles the electrical side of HVAC setups through their existing infrastructure and customer programs aimed at managing energy use for local homeowners who rely on reliable power for air conditioners and heaters during peak seasons.
Technicians respond to calls about sudden power loss that knocks out air conditioning units, as one customer reported when an outage hit their block and a crew arrived within twenty minutes to restore service and get the system running again. They also deal with thermostat problems and high bill disputes tied to HVAC equipment, including cases where homeowners faced accusations of running heaters in winter despite not using them, along with follow up on tree trimming near lines that leaves debris piles behind for weeks. Crews from partners like Asplundh sometimes handle the physical cleanup after line work but often require multiple visits to finish the job properly on residential properties.
Homeowners note occasional fast responses to urgent electrical issues affecting HVAC performance but consistently flag problems with billing accuracy, account access after moves, and incomplete cleanup that drags on for over a month. Communication gaps show up in repeated calls that go unresolved while piles of branches remain in yards, and disputes over usage charges tied to cooling systems add to the frustration across many accounts. What Customers Say
“Last night our power went out and at first I thought it was the whole block. After driving around, I noticed some houses still had power, so I called to report it. Within about 20 minutes they had someone out here checking the issue. He got right to work and before long our power was back on. I truly appreciate the quick response and great service. Thank you El Paso Electric for taking care of us so fast! ⚡️🙏🏽 Greatly appreciated!”
“If I could give no stars I would. My husband and I moved and our last bill came in the mail at our new house. We go to pay the bill online and it says our account information doesn’t work anymore. We try to call the service line and enter our old information because that is the account we have to pay on and it says it cannot find our account. I call Billmatrix to try and pay on there. I was hopeful, I was actually speaking to another person and she started taking our payment information and put me on hold to verify it… she comes back to say the account number is invalid. She asked “can you look at the account number on your recent billing statement?” I told her I was looking at it right now it’s the last one we have. She transfers me to customer service and little did I know I was being transferred back to El Paso Electric’s “customer service” line. I went online and tried the chat feature… waited at least 10 minutes with no response when they said estimated wait time is less than 3 minutes. I try to call again to speak to someone and it acts like the number is no longer in service. It also hung up on ME three times, telling me the user was busy… when it is an automated answering service. This is ABSURD. I just want to speak to another human being who can actually help me instead of generated BS that gets me nowhere. I’m assuming if they don’t get paid then they’ll be upset about it but you guys did everything in your God forsaken power to NOT help us pay the last GD bill we owe.”
“Idk why this completely thnks it's okay to rip off everyone and everybody. I haven't used my ac thermostat in over so many years because I learned the first time was about expensive power bill. They accused me of using my heater during the winter but I don't ever use not even I the summer . Idk what shady crap is going on . I hope y'all everyone likes to being over charged and sneaky bills ...”
“They cut off branches ftom a fallen tree, said someone (Asplundh) would be by later to clean up. They came by twice, picked up some of the debris but its been more than a month and there are still 2 large piles of branches in my yard. I've called multiple times.”
“Like El Paso, why do we only have one electrical company in the entire 3 county and willing to open a data center not to far if not to make the people who are in the council who funny enough are also stock holders of El Paso electric to be making more money from it”
