Expert HVAC & Refrigeration

Expert HVAC & Refrigeration operates out of El Paso, Texas, handling HVAC and refrigeration work for both homes and commercial properties in the region. The outfit has been at this for more than forty years, taking on the brutal summer heat that demands reliable cooling and heating in old houses as well as fresh construction. They deal with air conditioning setups, heating systems, duct work, and refrigeration gear that keeps restaurants and businesses running without food spoiling or workers sweating through shifts. Crews know the local weather patterns and what it takes to keep older units and new builds running steady through long summers and cold snaps.

They handle calls for AC repairs when a fan quits on a Friday night, swapping out bad ECM motors after a fast check, along with full system installs, replacements, duct cleaning, and refrigerated air conversions. Technicians like Jesus and Max show up to track down issues on units that stopped cooling, lay out the fix right there, and wrap the job so everything runs right again. Office folks keep customers in the loop while parts come in or schedules change, and they also fix commercial refrigeration on low temp equipment and hot side gear for local businesses. These crews work on both residential ductless mini splits and bigger commercial setups that run nonstop.

Homeowners and business owners point to the fast response when systems fail in the heat, plus straight talk on what needs fixing and the cost. Response speed scores high at nine out of ten, communication at seven, and work quality at six. These marks come from jobs where crews arrived quick, explained steps, and left systems working properly again after cleaning or motor swaps. The consistent feedback shows they show up when called and finish without dragging things out. DIRT Score 5.0 from 755 reviews on Finds.

“I chose Expert HVAC & Refrigeration because of their excellent reviews, and initially I was impressed. They were the only company willing to come out late on a Friday when my AC fan stopped working. The first technician quickly diagnosed a bad ECM motor, and the office kept me updated while waiting for the replacement part. Unfortunately, the installation experience was completely different. After the repair, my unit immediately began making loud noises. The technician returned but gave no explanation and simply left after giving a thumbs-up. By the next morning, my AC had stopped cooling again. I hired an independent HVAC technician for a second opinion. He found a blue shop rag left on the roof outside the unit, oil residue, loose screws and fittings, and determined the system had not been serviced properly. He corrected the refrigerant charge, thoroughly tested the system, and confirmed my unit did not need to be replaced, despite being told by Expert HVAC that I would probably need a new system. I spent additional money fixing problems that should never have happened. It's disappointing because my experience started so well. I expected the quality of workmanship to match the company's reputation, but unfortunately, it did not.”
