About
Gonzalo Gonzales A/C & Heating runs HVAC work out of Big Spring, Texas, where the intense summer heat and occasional cold snaps put constant strain on home cooling and heating equipment. Gonzalo handles the business himself from quotes to service calls, keeping the focus on residential jobs in a town full of older houses and newer builds that both need reliable units to stay comfortable. Local weather patterns mean air conditioners run hard for months at a time, so homeowners call for fixes when systems break down or when they want to replace aging equipment before the next heat wave hits. The operation stays straightforward with no extra layers between the owner and the customer.
They put in new refrigerated air units for whole houses, run maintenance visits on older systems, and complete full upgrades when homeowners decide to replace everything at once. One job involved installing two units after a quote discussion, though the brands delivered differed from what was first mentioned. Maintenance calls have included checks on units bought years earlier where warranty paperwork never got filed, leaving owners to sort out coverage on their own. Gonzalo shows up for many of these drives and responses himself, handling the full range from quick service stops to bigger changeouts in Big Spring homes that face the same weather issues every season.
Homeowners point to fair pricing as the main reason the company holds its standing despite other mixed reports on how jobs turn out. That strength on costs shows up across feedback even when timelines stretch or details need double checking. Quality holds for many routine fixes and installs while communication stays direct since the owner takes most calls. Speed varies with how busy the schedule gets during peak months. What Customers Say
“We purchased two new refrigerated air units for our house in 2021. The conversations we had regarding the quote were for the brand Trane, but they installed two Champion units instead. Be very careful with this company.”
“DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN He is a unprofessional and wreckless driver and if you call the company number it's just him there to cuss you out. Could have been a customer calling for service.”
“We purchases a unit in 2019 no problems, October 2020 called for maintenance and unit not working. They said they were backed up for a month and to call someone else. We got someone the same day and it turn out Gonzalez never turned in the 10 year warranty for the unit. So that’s why they didn’t want to service us.”
“I’ve been a resident of El Paso for 15 plus years, and for every home I’ve lived in I had the pleasure of using Gonzalez heating and cooling. They provided a range of services whether it was simple maintenance or a complete system upgrade, I’ve never had a problem with their service. They always go above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied with their services. I would recommend using them for any job big or small, I love supporting local businesses, Gonzalez heating and cooling is as local as it gets. 🎉”
“Company installed 2 new units on my house. Process went pretty smooth. Good units at a good price. Installation went ok. Never came back to repair drywall that had to be cut. 2 years later had a unit that wasn't cooling. Called to make appointment and was told it would be three weeks before they could come. I felt this was a long time but wanted to have company who installed service the until. The day came and no one showed up. I waited weeks and took time off from work to be there. When called about it they saw the appointment but couldn't answer why the technician never showed. I waited 3 weeks! Called another company that came in a few days said that Gonzalez didn't solder a joint right. Cost me a thousand to have the coolant refilled. Never using Gonzalez again.”
