About

Tom's Appliance Llc operates in El Paso, Texas and centers its work on HVAC services for homes across the city and nearby areas. The desert climate brings intense summer heat that pushes air conditioning units hard along with occasional winter cold fronts that test heating systems. Local directories list them among appliance stores serving El Paso residents who need steady help keeping indoor temperatures manageable. Homeowners here face frequent issues with dust buildup and extreme temperature swings that wear down HVAC equipment faster than in milder regions. The company draws on this local knowledge to address those demands directly without unnecessary delays.

Tom and his team handle repairs on units that have stopped cooling properly or started making unusual sounds during peak summer months. They respond to calls about microwaves flashing or overheating by arriving the next day to diagnose and restore function as seen when a unit quit entirely after repeated issues. For washer problems like an Amana drum shifting and creating loud noises they recalibrate settings and advise on load balancing to prevent further movement. Calls about over the range microwave noise lead to on site checks where they evaluate whether repair makes sense or if replacement and installation would be better for the homeowner. These jobs show up often in El Paso because of heavy daily use in dry conditions.

Customers note quick arrivals on urgent cooling calls and clear explanations of what went wrong with the equipment. Reviews highlight reliable fixes on first visits when technicians like Tom take time to check all connections and settings rather than rushing through. Praise centers on fair pricing for the work completed and steady updates during the service visit so homeowners know what to expect next. Mixed experiences with scheduling appear but the overall record shows consistent results on quality and communication that build the rating. DIRT Score 4.68 from 124 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

Won't deal with these guys again. No showed on us 3 times on returning to repair our refrigerator. My wife took the days off to meet them. No decency to call us to cancel. Learn professionalism.

I highly recommend Tom’s Appliances for any microwave repair! My microwave started flashing or overheating and then completely stopped working, so I needed help right away. I called Tom’s Appliances, and they were able to come out the very next day. Tom and his colleague were so kind, professional, and efficient. They quickly diagnosed the problem and had it repaired in no time. Excellent service from start to finish!

Tom and his son came over to check on my Amana washer drum that was making loud noises and was moving all over the place. He said everything was fine, all he did was recalibrated the washer and said make sure you balance the load and place the setting on deep water wash, so the next day I did but it continued with the same problem. I called him back and explained to him that I did as he said but I still have the same issue. "He said I'll take care of it with some rings". It's been a week and I have not heard from him. He charged me $80 for just making a calibration that did not work. Be careful out there, you never now. I should have washed a load of cloth to test his calibrations but I waited a day. Oh well. Don't make the same mistake I did.

I called Tom about my over-the-range microwave oven that started making a horrible noise, and asked whether he would recommend fixing it or buying a new one, in which case I asked him if he would install it. On the phone he seemed courteous, knowledgeable and professional. He asked me to send him some pictures of the microwave, which I promptly emailed to him. Then--nothing. A month later (and counting), and after I sent him two more emails asking whether he got my pictures, and left two phone messages, I've heard nothing back. He seems to have ghosted me for no discernible reason. He may know how to repair appliances, but what good is that if he ignores potential customers who try to engage his services? I recommend giving him a hard pass and finding someone more reliable and responsive.

A COUPLE OF HIGHLY TRAINED SERVICE TECHNICIANS WITH SUPERB TROUBLESHOOTING SKILLS. THEY ALSO PROVIDE DAD JOKES AT NO CHARGE! WOULD I CALL THEM AGAIN? BOY, WOULD I!
