By Choice Heating and Air

By Choice Heating and Air runs as a family owned and operated HVAC outfit right out of Fort Mohave, TX. The crew stays focused on air conditioning and heating work for local homes, handling service and installation across all major equipment brands. They carry proper licensing, bonding, and insurance to cover the jobs they take on. Fort Mohave sits in a region where summer temperatures climb hard and stay there for months, so cooling systems face nonstop pressure from dust, sand, and constant runtime. Homeowners often need quick responses when units fail during peak heat or when older systems need full replacement to keep indoor air manageable.

HVAC crews in this part of Texas see plenty of compressor failures, refrigerant leaks, and thermostat problems that hit hardest when the sun beats down without relief. By Choice Heating and Air sends technicians out for routine maintenance that catches worn belts or dirty coils before they cause total breakdowns, along with new installs that match the right sized equipment to the home's layout and insulation. They work on both residential split systems and packaged units common in the area, making sure ductwork stays sealed against the dry air that leaks heat in fast. Homeowners around here also call for winter heating checks on gas furnaces or heat pumps that must switch over without issues once the rare cold snaps arrive.

Customers keep coming back because the work shows up on time, holds up under real conditions, and comes at prices that match the scope without surprise add-ons. Quality stands out in how the fixes last through the toughest months, while clear talk from the crew helps owners understand what needs attention versus what can wait. Speed matters when an AC quits on a 110 degree day, and that consistent follow through builds the track record behind the numbers. DIRT Score 4.73 from 53 reviews on Finds.

“Kevin at By Choice Heating and Air did an outstanding job helping my father during a recent heat wave. His AC compressor had failed, and Kevin understood how urgent the situation was. He responded quickly, diagnosed the problem, and had the compressor replaced the very next day. Throughout the entire process, Kevin was professional, polite, responsive, and kept us informed every step of the way. It’s hard to find someone who genuinely cares about their customers, but Kevin went above and beyond to make sure my father wasn’t left without air conditioning in extreme heat. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the service we received. If you’re looking for an honest, reliable HVAC company, I highly recommend By Choice Heating and Air. Thank you, Kevin, for the exceptional service!”

“Kevin and his team were amazing. My renters’ AC went out and he was able to come the same day and fix the issue immediately. He was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient, and his pricing was very fair. I’m grateful for the quick turnaround and excellent service. I’ll definitely be calling Kevin and his team for any future AC needs.”

“Our AC system stopped running and our house was getting hotter by the minute. We called Kevin and within 30 minutes, he was repairing our AC. He’s very knowledgeable but the most importantly, he was so nice. He serviced our unit back in 2019 and have kept his number. I won’t call anyone else.”

“Called By Choice on a Sunday morning. Kevin was out within an hour. Our system was 14 yrs old & he diagnosed we needed replacement of several items. Knowing he wasn't able to fix it immediately, he provided 2 portable units to keep indoor temp tolerable. First thing Monday morning he provided complete estimates for various repair options. We opted to go with a complete new HVAC system. Kevin & Corey were out with the new system at 10am & all was up & running by 3pm! Super friendly, professional service & reasonable pricing. We love to support local business operators who do great work.”

“By Choice Heating and Air are awesome. Kevin and Korey are great guys who come when they are supposed to and get the job done right the first time. They are always there for any issues or questions. They are our only AC Guys!”

“Super Fast and Professional.. Quickly diagnosed my system and made Repairs same day..”

“I just had Kevin from By Choice Air come out & it’s a Sunday!, after dealing for almost one month with (All Right Air conditioning & Heat! Never Use Them. ) they said I needed a Compressor & mind you the two times they came no one checked the Capacitor which Kevin did! Thank God because that’s exactly what was needed to fix the issue & none of the others touched it you could see by all the dirt & dust & no smug or prints or being wiped off. Now my AC is working like a champ in all rooms & where as the temp never went down it now is doing just that going down to the setting I put in. Kevin was so kind in explaining it all to me & I actually understood what was going on. I do believe I’m kinda ready for out 120 degree temps (NOT!! 🤪🤪) By Choice Air is The Best! I have put a pic of their B”

“Air conditioning went out and needed a quick fix due to the heat. Called a total of 3 places with By Choice being one of them. They were there within 45 minutes and fixed the issue, and also gave the system a quick check up. Very fair pricing and no up sell. By Choice Air saved the day!! Thanks again!”

“Kevin and Cory are awesome. They went above and beyond. The total job is perfect to me. Under our home warranty, they got our 32 year old air conditioning system working perfectly. When we decided to replace the old system, I chose to use them again. Their proposal was excellent. The complete job is so professional looking and is 100% improvement to what was there before. I simply can't say enough good about these guys. If you want a good job and a very good price, call By Choice!”

“Wanted to have my AC serviced before the blazing heat picked up. Called By Choice Air and Kevin was very helpful on the phone and reassuring. He even possibly suggested not even needing service based off of some verbal diagnostic items. Regardless, for peace of mind, I had them come out. Cory was super nice, very informative and performed a thorough inspection of the unit. Price was very reasonable and service was great! Highly recommend!”
