About

Blaylock Heating and Air works out of Fort Smith, TX and handles HVAC needs for homes across the River Valley. The company has spent more than forty years serving the local community with heating and air conditioning services aimed at residential properties. Technicians stay on call twenty four hours a day to handle sudden system failures. Their long record in the area gives them steady knowledge of the equipment types and installation styles found in Fort Smith houses. Maintenance agreements form part of their approach to prevent breakdowns before they leave families without heat or cool air during extreme weather swings.

Fort Smith summers run hot enough to strain air conditioners daily, so common jobs include replacing compressors, cleaning coils, and restoring units that quit during peak heat. Winters bring cold periods that test furnaces and require quick fixes to keep homes livable. Blaylock Heating and Air performs new installations, seasonal tune ups, and emergency repairs on both heating and cooling equipment. Their crews address leaks in ductwork, thermostat problems, and full system replacements when older units fail. In this climate homeowners often face high energy bills from inefficient systems, and the company focuses on practical fixes that restore function without unnecessary add ons. They also manage related plumbing work such as drain cleaning when HVAC lines intersect with water issues.

Homeowners in the area look for contractors who show up promptly, complete repairs that last, keep costs reasonable, and explain the work clearly. Blaylock Heating and Air earns its standing through repeated reviews that track those points across many jobs. The resulting score reflects consistent delivery on HVAC calls in Fort Smith without major complaints on follow up visits or pricing surprises. DIRT Score 3.85 from 135 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

“Came out last year for yearly service. Less than 30 days later unit not cooling. Called them back out, cleaned drain. I think that should have been done at the time of the yearly service, but I got charged again. They used to be good. That time is passed. Before responding check your records”

“Blaylock came out and quoted a new HVAC system for my house. They were prompt and got me on their schedule very quickly. Their team was courteous and made sure to clean up after themselves. Thanks Chuck and the team!”

“Received service in 11 of 2024. Never received a bill. Told we would not be charged because they could not repair the problem. Not sent an invoice for 4 months. Invoice sent email but email was wrong. No paper invoice received for 1 year and 1 month later. We are being charged late feels for every month even though we do not know the amount or have a way to pay it. No electronic option given until we get a final notice in 3 2026. We received services from them 2 other times in 2025 and never received invoices for those either until 3 of 2026 meaning they never sent out an invoice for 5 to 6 months later after service, but charged late fees. We STILL have the problem with our AC Unit! NO TRUST. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Talked to owner and to show him the concern and told,” This is how it is go”

“I was a repeat customer until a few months ago. I needed a Mr Cool hvac installed that i bought from Sutherland's. I called them first to give them the job, i was told by the HVAC supe, that no they wouldn't do it. I call Sutherland's after to get a recommendation who could do it, they tell me Blaylock would. I tell them i was told they wouldn't. I don't know who is telling the truth, but I don't like being jerked around either way. I ended up using Shane Parker with Parker Plumbing and HVAC in Alma. He came up within a month and installed it without any fuss, and said it was the easiest thing he'd ever worked on. Sadly, i will be taking my business for plumbing and HVAC elsewhere. You all need to get your stories straight on who does what and where in this instance.”

“Used them for years, not cheap, but as a business owner myself most times cheap comes with a “but”. Called their emergency line after hours yesterday when my upstairs ac’s drip line was overflowing into my garage due to a clog and after talking to Luis deemed I would call during reg hours, for cheaper bill, or fix myself. I consider myself handy so thought I “fixed” it with my shop vac. Came home the next day to my garage covered in water. Called emergency line after hours and once again got Luis, he was there in half an hour purged a TON of sludge from the drip line, installed a union so I could do it easier myself in the future, and treated with drop in chem tabs that would help prevent sludge from building which I will be looking into stocking and treating myself. He did all this ”

“Great team of people. They were on time and even showed up on Christmas Eve at no extra charge to help us with our clogged drains. Raymond did a great job.”

“Sending a huge "thank you" to Jeff and Ya Ya. They fixed a issue with my plumbing that should have been done by someone else when remodeling my bathroom recently. They were honest up front, explained everything clearly and professional. I highly recommend!”

“People are nice but service is terrible. My AC was dripping inside the closet from the coupling where the drain pipe comes out of the unit. It took them 3 trips out to make it stop, apparently a hose was touching the side of the inside panel so condensation was running down the side of the panel and onto the coupling instead of into the pan and out the pipe where it's supposed to go. Then I had a gas leak and it took them 3 or trips out to fix it... First guy installed a new shut off valve and pipes, that didn't fix it. 2nd guy brought a gas leak detector but didn't know how to use it so I read the instructions and figured it out for him. He wasn't sure if it was working so i tested it by holding my lighter next to it and releasing butane, since the instructions said it detected propane,”

“Incredible workers! Tough job! I am so impressed!!!! The crew was Raymond, Eric, and Josh❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”

“They’re consistently quick to respond, and every interaction is marked by kindness, professionalism, and genuine helpfulness. From the moment you reach out, they keep you informed every step of the way. Service is smooth and reliable-highly recommend!”
