“Champion did the tune up for the AC units on a house we recently purchased. When our main unit went out last week I called them because the invoice said all work is covered within the first 90 days of repair. The gentleman who came to the house was kind, but he quoted me $4,500 (down from his initial $6K estimate) to fix a broken coil and replenish all of the (9 lbs) refrigerant. I got a 2nd opinion from another company and turns out - our coil wasn’t broken at all. And we had plenty of refrigerant. I am grateful we looked into this as if we had gone with Champion it would not have addressed the root cause of the problem - which was hooking up the SAS and installing a Bypass Damper with a collar. It cost a fraction of the price and our AC is working great again. Will not be using Champion again.”
