“We had a power blackout at midnight and our Generator kicked on. We contacted Duke Energy the next morning and the repair crew discovered a corroded wire in the street transformer box. They said we needed a new power supply line. As a temporary solution, they attached a black power box through our power meter. But the backup generator never turned off so late Friday evening, we contacted Rush after-hours number, were advised of the cost of an emergency visit, and dispatched Erik, the Service Manager, who was Generac certified. Upon arrival, Erik introduced himself and asked for details on our issue. He did a complete assessment and measurement on the Duke supply voltage and the Generac transfer relay power box. He showed the Duke solution was not providing power and the Generac was “doing its job.” He was professional and friendly during his visit. After he left, Duke Outage was contacted and dispatched another repair technician at midnight. He found a problem in the Century Link hardware at the power meter and had it replaced. Power was restored and the generator switched off. I was impressed with Rush’s responsiveness and service during the after-hours call. I will definitely use them again.”
