About
Cortland Kierum runs an HVAC operation based in Comal County, Texas. The crew handles air conditioning and heating work for homes across the area, where long hot summers and occasional cold snaps put steady pressure on systems. They focus on keeping units running through the peak heat and fixing breakdowns when they hit. With the local weather patterns, homeowners often need quick attention to compressors, coils, and duct issues that show up every season. The team works on both new installs and older equipment that has taken years of Texas sun and humidity.
In practice they show up for service calls on units that stop cooling during July spikes, replace worn parts like capacitors and fans, and check refrigerant levels on systems that have developed leaks from age or poor maintenance. Common jobs include clearing clogged drains that cause water damage, tuning thermostats that no longer hold temperature, and swapping out entire condensers when the original ones fail under heavy load. Crews move through neighborhoods dealing with the same problems year after year, getting systems back online before indoor temps climb too high. They also handle duct repairs in attics where insulation has broken down and air flow has dropped.
Homeowners in Comal County keep calling because the pricing stays straightforward and the work gets finished without drawn-out delays. Reviews highlight fair costs on parts and labor along with decent response times when units go down. The crew earns its marks by showing up prepared and finishing the jobs that matter most during the worst weather. DIRT Score 4.71 from 357 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“We dealt with a ceiling leak from the unit above that resulted in drywall removal and sections of our ceiling being opened for repairs. While the active leak was addressed quickly, the repair process that followed was prolonged and far more disruptive than originally communicated. For roughly two weeks, we were living in a unit under active construction. Portions of the ceiling were removed, insulation was exposed, and industrial drying equipment ran throughout the day. The constant noise, exposed materials, and ongoing work significantly interfered with our ability to live normally. We were unable to comfortably use our kitchen or common areas the way we typically would, and much of our daily routine was disrupted. During that time, we experienced skin irritation and respiratory discomfort that coincided with the exposed materials and ongoing repairs, which added to our concern. Our frustration was less about the need for repairs and more about how the situation was handled. Completion timelines shifted, communication changed, and follow-through felt inconsistent. We made multiple efforts to resolve the matter respectfully and directly. A rent concession and legal agreement were discussed, but timelines continued to move and communication stalled. We were also presented with the option to transfer under a new lease term rather than adjusting our current lease, which would have added additional cost and disruption. Unexpected maintenance issues can happen anywhere. What matters most is communication, clarity, and reasonable accommodation during the process. In our experience, those elements were lacking, which made an already difficult situation significantly more stressful.”
“When we toured these apartments, Tiara was incredibly helpful and answered all of our questions. During the tour, she went above and beyond by even taking time to play with my son, which made me feel very welcome. She made the entire visit feel effortless and comfortable, and her friendly conversation helped us get to know her while she got to know us. Tiara was amazing, and she made our experience truly enjoyable!”

Maintenance requests are completed promptly, and the team is always courteous and respectful of your space. It’s clear they take pride in keeping the community in top shape. The amenities are a big highlight! Everything is clean, well maintained, and actually enjoyable to use. From the pool area to the fitness center and shared spaces, it really feels like a place you can relax and unwind. Overall, it’s a well run community with a great atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well managed place to live!”
“I did a virtual tour today and it was amazing! I’m moving from out of state and when looking for apartments I have struggled with apartment complex’s being willing to do a virtual tour of a couple units (that I pre selected). But getting in touch with Cortland they were willing to do a FaceTime tour with no issue! Jordan was helping me and was so friendly, kind and upfront on everything. I loved the tour and her so much I decided to go ahead and apply for a unit. I will also mention these are the best apartments I have seen in Fort Worth and the prices are great for the size and amenities!”
“I was on a tight schedule. I was unable to view different apartments that was available. The one I did view briefly could have been a bit move fresher. There was a slight musty order. It smelled not so fresh. It looked clean. Other than that, it was my opinion and observation. Im sorry I didn't get to see the other apartments. Again it was my observation. Im quite sure it a nice place to live. Thank you for you time.”
