About

Ford's Air Conditioning operates out of Houston, Texas and covers the surrounding areas including Cypress. Their main work centers on HVAC systems for homes in this part of the state. Houston weather puts heavy demands on air conditioners with long stretches of heat and moisture that can wear down equipment quickly. Storms roll through and leave behind issues like water damage or electrical problems in units. The team handles these local challenges by focusing on repairs and maintenance that keep systems running through the toughest months without constant failures. They track common problems tied to the region's humidity and power fluctuations that hit older setups hardest.

They take on jobs like fixing compressors that fail from overuse, replacing old thermostats, and sealing ducts that leak cooled air in attics. In Houston homes, technicians often deal with mold growth in damp coils or units that short cycle because of the humidity levels. Work starts with a full check of the system before any parts get swapped out. They clear drains clogged by debris and recharge refrigerant levels when low. Homeowners call them after power surges from storms or when bills spike from inefficient running. The approach stays straightforward with explanations of what needs doing and why before starting.

Customers keep coming back because the work holds up under real conditions and the crew shows up when promised. Reviews highlight fast turnaround on emergency calls during heat waves along with clean and accurate fixes that last. Pricing stays competitive without hidden costs and updates come through clearly at every step. Quality shows in fewer callbacks after service visits. DIRT Score 4.91 from 1189 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

Excellent experience with the service department at David McDavid. My 21’ truck had issues engaging 4WD after the snow storm earlier this year. I dropped of my truck and Erica Gillespie went above and beyond to ensure my vehicle was returned as if nothing happened. I had a bad hub and 4WD actuator and Erica was able to get both replaced under warranty. Erica kept in touch almost daily on updates! Between the EXCELLENT customer service and their commitment to repair more than the original issue, I would HIGHLY recommend bringing your Ford car or truck to this team! Ask for Erica, she’s the best!

**Update: They sent someone out 2 separate times to clean the stains on the garage floor. Looks fine now. I appreciate the customer service follow up from the initial review** Grant was nice and easy to converse with. Unfortunately the service techs didn’t fully seal my transmission pan after servicing my transmission. This resulted in my garage and driveway being covered in transmission fluid after the entire pan drained onto my garage floor overnight. They towed my truck back to the dealership to fix the issue. They were helpful in delivering my truck back to me, but have yet to send someone out to address the transmission fluid staining mess in my garage/driveway

I wanted to update my review and experience with David McDavid in Fort Worth. While this whole scenario was incredibly frustrating, and time consuming, in the end I feel like the dealership sincerely put forth every effort to make it right. I was treated professionally, they spent time making sure they addressed my needs, they were patient with me through my frustration, and did all that they could to make it right and restore my faith in the individuals running things. I ultimately decided it was time for a new vehicle, and I went home in a truck that I love! Thank you! I have had 3 new transmissions put in my F-150 since October 2025 at David McDavid in Fort Worth (so I am on my 4th transmission at this point). During the replacement of the first one, my truck was under full bumper to bumper, purchased extended warranty. The service seemed great. They had my truck for 37 days, which seemed excessive, but the warranty coverage paid for my rental car. Fast forward to January 2026, my vehicle has surpassed warranty coverage, and my 3 month old transmission is failing. I take it back in (I live an hour and 20 minutes away, so it's not just a pop by), and they tell me that I need a new transmission. They have my truck this time, for 2 weeks. I take it home for 2 days.. same thing. I bring it back in. They tell me I need a new transmission. Again. This time they had my truck for 30 days. They tell me that no rental car coverage is included, because my extended warranty was expired. We, of course, push back, and they cover a portion of the bill. I had to reach out almost every time to ask for an update of any kind. They don't just touch base to make you feel like you haven't been completely forgotten. That part makes it a little tougher, as consideration and customer service should be a priority in any field. I have had my truck back now for less than a week, and it still won't shift gears properly. I am being told that it has been put through diagnostics and each time I am told it needs a new transmission. Apparently the ones they install (rebuilt) have about a 2 day shelf life? My truck still shakes violently when I try to accelerate, especially on a hill, and the check engine light flashes (although today it just stayed on, which is new). I was told, "it isn't supposed to do that." 4 transmissions (three new) in less than 5 months feels excessive, and I have been offered no remedies. I do understand that the warranty company likely has a hand in what is making all of this so difficult, but none of this is ok.

I had an excellent experience at David McDavid Ford, thanks to Ruben Martinez. He helped me out from start to finish and checked off all my needs for my truck. The process was quick and smooth—I was in and out. He consistently came by to check on me and asked if I needed anything, which I really appreciated. After my truck was ready, I had a small hiccup on my truck that had nothing to do with the service they had done but brought it back in to get checked. Ruben took care of everything, filled out what was needed, and got me back on the road in no time. His energy, professionalism, and demeanor made the whole experience stress-free. More people with his attitude are definitely needed and appreciated. Highly recommend working with him!

UPDATED--Moved my rating from a 3 to a 4. Zach pulled through with my recall service above and beyond. All 3 recalls that were available to be completed were accomplished in 1 day, and he treated me to the valet service to and from, a topped off fuel tank, and a quick detail/vacuum/wipedown. I won't hesitate going back to David McDavid now for service. My review is only a 4 due to my original experience however they definitely earned my return and updated review. ---UPDATED--Moved my rating from a 1 to a 3, got a call from Zach from David McDavid and he sounds pretty adament that he wants to right this wrong. Offered to pick up my car on Monday, get all the recalls completed (not just the ones I had time for) and bring it back when complete full of gas and detailed. I'll be updating as this plays out. I had a 9am appointment to get 2 recalls done. I checked in at 840am and was told they would need about 3 hours at a minimum to replace the A-pillar arm covers and the luggage rack covers (both recall items). Almost 2 hours in I got a call saying they were done but after going back the service tech said the system didn't show it as being done but that they brought him the keys. He told me to wait a few so he could find out what happened. He came back and apologized and said they never got to them so he told them I've been there since 840 and that I was waiting locally for them to finish. I was told they would get right on it. Well the 3rd hour went by and I was told at that point they didn't have the parts to do my recall and that's why they never got done and I was asked to come back the following day. After already taking half a day and a total waste (who doesn't check to see if parts are in stock before having a customer wait 3 hours??? Seriously!!) I opted not go back. Doubtful I'll ever go back at this point.
