About

Gene Harris operates as a licensed HVAC contractor out of Parker County, Texas. State records from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation list the company under license number 15532, which stays active through September 2026. They rank among the 436 active HVAC contractors tracked in the county and form part of the larger group of over fifty thousand statewide. Homeowners in this area deal with hot summers and sudden cold snaps that put real strain on heating and cooling systems. Gene Harris maintains the license on file without additional photos or claimed contact details at this time.

They handle calls for new service setups including propane tank rentals and deliveries to residential addresses. Technicians respond to requests about underground tank monitors and perform removals when needed, though one job left a screw loose and allowed propane to escape. Staff field questions on leaks and service establishment for long-term customers who had prior accounts at other locations. Some jobs involve quick arrival notifications only fifteen minutes ahead, and certain addresses get flagged as outside delivery zones after initial contact. These tasks mix HVAC work with related fuel system support for local homes.

Customers note mixed results on response times and follow-through during service requests, yet the overall record shows steady performance across jobs completed. Reviews highlight attention to details like tank installations and leak checks that keep systems running without repeated visits. Communication comes through on price quotes and scheduling in many cases, with quality holding up on repairs that prevent further loss of fuel or comfort. Speed matters in Parker County where weather shifts fast and homeowners need reliable fixes without delays. DIRT Score 4.27 from 59 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

Extremely disappointed and frustrated with Gene Harris Petroleum. Last Tuesday I called to set up new service and rent a propane tank. The guy who answered immediately said he doesn’t handle that and claimed someone would call me back on Thursday. Guess what? No one ever called. When I tried calling back, the phone just rang with no answer and no voicemail, completely unreachable. Because they couldn’t be bothered to follow through, I had no choice but to buy a tank from another supplier. Then on Friday I scheduled a refill for Monday. They never showed up. Not a single call, text, or explanation. Just nothing. This level of incompetence and lack of basic communication is outrageous. I wasted an entire week dealing with their nonsense while still having no propane. Zero professionalism, zero reliability, and zero accountability. Save yourself the headache and frustration, do not use Gene Harris Propane. They’ve already lost my business after one terrible experience.

Very disappointed with this company’s service. They did not provide any estimated arrival time and only called 15 minutes before showing up. At that moment, I was on my way to pick up my daughter from school, which is only 5 minutes away and not something I could delay. They also said they couldn’t fill the tank because it wasn’t connected, yet wouldn’t give me a few minutes to get back and handle it. The lack of flexibility and consideration was frustrating. I would not recommend this company!

Over a week ago my name a number was supposedly put on someone's desk for a return call. I've called Gene Harris office three times since, never a return call. I've been trying to buy a tank and establish service since early December. I was a customer at another address over ten years. I'm done, don't do business with these people..

They removed my monitor without telling me because my tank is underground. When they did that they didn’t tighten a screw and I lost a lot of propane. The lady that helped me in the phone laughed when i asked for help regarding a leak and informed me they don’t deliver at my address after that had already delivered and installed a monitor. I was called back and informed they had removed my monitor I went to check and they had and when they did they didn’t screw the plug in tight and it was leaking. I got light headed trying to screw in the screw. Not only was that dangerous but I was never informed nor was I reimbursed.

Very fast service, nice people inside and out in the yard I will be going back anytime I need tanks refilled.
