“On March 13, 2026, around 9:00 AM, I had a very dangerous encounter with one of your company vehicles while driving my commercial truck (approximately 80,000 lbs). The incident occurred at the I-20 West ramp merging onto Highway 287 South toward Mansfield. As the Horizon Plumbing Services van approached, I noticed the driver was on his phone, which was very unprofessional and unsafe. While on the frontage road exit, the driver appeared to realize he was about to miss the entrance to Highway 287 and suddenly swerved into my lane directly in front of my truck. Because of the driver’s sudden and unsafe maneuver, I had to brake extremely hard to avoid a collision. My truck nearly lost control, and the van itself almost hit the concrete barrier. After cutting me off, the driver sped away without acknowledging the situation, even after I honked my horn. This was a very close call that could have resulted in a serious accident. Thankfully, I was able to maintain control of my vehicle, but the situation was extremely dangerous and unacceptable for a company vehicle on the road.”
