J & V Appliance Service
HVAC Contractor · Fort Worth, TX
About
J & V Appliance Service operates from San Antonio, TX and focuses on appliance repair and sales to support homeowners with equipment tied to daily comfort and home systems. The business handles common breakdowns in cooling and heating related units that see constant strain from local weather patterns and heavy seasonal use. They stock both new and used models with warranties while providing on site fixes and delivery options for residents who need quick replacements without overpaying for basic household needs.
Technicians at the company take on refrigerator jobs where units lose cooling power or develop frost buildup and they swap parts on stoves to get burners working again for customers like those who bought units around two hundred dollars. They also set up washer and dryer pairs at fair prices for buyers moving into vacant properties and address drainage or heating faults in dishwashers and freezers that stop maintaining proper temperatures. Work includes loading appliances into trucks for delivery and handling impulse purchases where parts from other units get transferred to complete the sale quickly.
Customers consistently note fair pricing on both new and used appliances along with reasonable delivery fees that make purchases practical for San Antonio homes. Reviews highlight solid outcomes on refrigerator sales and washer dryer bundles when the team follows through yet some point out occasional gaps in appointment reliability that affect overall experience. The mix shows strength in value and straightforward fixes that keep equipment running without unnecessary upsells. DIRT Score 4.37 from 55 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“I needed a refrigerator and at JV Appliances on Jacksboro Hwy were awesome! Prices on appliances used and new with warranty are fair prices. They even offer delivery but, for a fee but not expensive, very reasonable. I would recommend JV Appliances to anyone in need. 5 🤩 update: my refrigerators starter relay went out. I had taken the part to JV's and they helped me out again. They set me up with the part I needed without hesitation! Man I just can't tell people enough if you need used appliances JV's Appliances is the place to go!!!!!”
“I stopped by to get a stove on impulse. I didn't want to spend a lot since it was for a vacant house. They offered one for $225 they said was ready to go. They quickly put the burners from another stove on it (a red flag looking back) and helpfully loaded it in my truck. Upon getting it the house, I noticed it was missing screws to the oven door where the glass had been removed. Water also poured out of the stove when it was moved (I assume from cleaning). I called JV appliance and the person answered saying, yes, they probably left the screws out to remove the glass front. I had to wait for a call back from someone else. I explained and was told to come by and get them, although they swore they did not take them out though the employee told me they did. I had pictures showing the missing screws. I did go by the next week during posted hours. No one was there and the appliances usually outside were not there. I called many times over the next few days and left messages, but no answer or call back. I assumed they had gone out of business and I gave up. I found screws at Lowes. Upon installing them, I found that much of the plastic parts on the stove were brittle and easily broken, and the button to the oven only worked about 10% of the time if pushed just right and you got lucky. Since I was not able to contact the store by phone or in person, Upin searching for a new stove, I went to another appliance store nearby and saw JV open again! I went in but the same front person was there. I told my story. She asked me if I BROUGHT THE STOVE BACK! I cannot lift a stove into a truck bed. The store had not been open during business hours, they had not answered their phone, they had not inspected the stove adequately, or put it back together correctly. The decision maker had to be contacted by his staff, denied there was anything wrong, and I couldn't understand what the employees were saying on the phone. So I'm stuck with this broken, worn out stove, lost $225, and must buy another stove and pay someone to move it out. This is not a professionally run business, my experience was more like buying from a stranger off Craigslist. I learned my lesson and am partiallyresponsible for not staking out the store and assuming they were closed when they were no longer open during their posted hours. Stay with the used appliance stores that have been in business a long time nearby. I gave 2 stars because when I was buying, they were nice. That changed fast once my money changed hands.”
“Called before holidays & after. Tried setting up 2 different apps. BOTH times someone was going to call 1st. I did set 1 appt..no show ..no call...NOTHING! 2nd attempt..someone was supposed to call. NO call and they don't answer. Not very reliable or pretty bad customer service. I finally CALLED someone else”
“SO FAR SO GOOD!!! got a washer and dryer for a very good price. Haven't had an issue yet, but i'm sure if I did, they would fix it if you're nice to them.Just don't be like that, lady who left a bad review and cussed at the employees clearly she is a Karen. I plan on getting a refrigerator next from them. Yes, they do have pre owned options. But when I was there, I saw the guy working on a lot of them.”
“They have nice appliances, and great prices compared to big stores check them out”
