Matco Hvac Inc
HVAC Contractor · Fort Worth, TX
About
Matco Hvac Inc works out of Fort Worth, Texas, and takes care of HVAC needs for homes and businesses throughout the North Texas region. The crew deals with the tough summer heat and dust that builds up in local systems, handling everything from routine checks on older units to new installs during construction. Homeowners in this area face frequent issues with cooling that struggles against humidity and heavy use, so the company focuses on getting those systems back in shape without dragging things out. They cover both residential properties and commercial sites where reliable air flow keeps operations moving.
Matco sends technicians such as Chad for full inspections, tune-ups, refrigerant checks, and leak hunts, with customers noting how he took extra time crawling through tight spots to find problems. Chase and Tyler have handled multiple commercial and residential jobs, showing up with clear explanations and finishing work that holds. At the same time, techs like Tony have been called out for pushing the service fee before laying out what was wrong, and one new build saw its condenser unit fail inside three years, with the company declining to handle the manufacturer warranty replacement.
Some reviews highlight the professionalism and follow-through from certain techs on inspections and project work, while others flag rushed visits that left systems without power or air and poor handling of warranty claims. The split in experiences on communication and repair quality adds up to the current standing. DIRT Score 3.65 from 52 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“I recently had Matco out for an HVAC inspection, tune-up, refrigerant evaluation, and leak investigation. Chad was my technician, and I cannot say enough good things about him. What stood out most was his honesty and professionalism. Chad spent significant time inspecting the system, crawling through a very hot attic, running tests, documenting his findings, and explaining what he was seeing. He never tried to sell me unnecessary repairs or point me toward expensive guesses. In fact, when he did not find evidence that the issue was HVAC-related, he said so. One thing I especially appreciated was that Chad never seemed eager to deliver bad news or recommend costly repairs. Quite the opposite. You could tell he genuinely wanted to find the simplest and most accurate answer rather than create more work or expense for the customer. That kind of integrity is rare. As a homeowner, I value honesty more than anything. Chad was thorough, ethical, patient, and professional throughout the entire process. He let the facts guide his recommendations and treated my home with respect. While not every investigation ends with an immediate answer, I left feeling confident that Chad had done everything possible to properly evaluate the HVAC system. That's the kind of technician every company hopes to have representing them. Thank you, Chad, for your integrity and professionalism.”
“I’ve worked with Chase and Tyler at Matco Air on multiple commercial and residential projects, and they consistently deliver exceptional results. Their expertise, clear communication, and commitment to quality set them apart. Most importantly, they stand behind their work, which gives great confidence throughout every project. From simple residential service to large scale commercial jobs we have never had an issue”
“Do not call these people. They only care about collecting the service fee. Our technician, Tony, asked repeatedly for the service fee without elaborating verbally on what the issue even was. He left us with the power off to our thermostat and zero air blowing. Upon calling the emergency line, the customer service person, Alex, offered zero customer service or accountability for leaving us with no power to our AC/Thermostat. This is a company with zero integrity.”
“Matco did the install on my HVAC system for a brand new build just under 3 years ago. The condenser unit is already failing on year three. I called them to do a replacement with manufacturer warranty (which is 10 years for parts), but they quickly informed me that they do not work with the manufacturer for warranty claims and that any repairs through them would be full price. Matco doesn't stand by their installs.”
“This Company took great care of me quick fast and efficient just in time for the cold weather, My heater wasn’t working and they came in and out in 30 minutes and it’s all fixed up. 2nd time using them!!”
