On-Site A/C & Heating
HVAC Contractor · Fort Worth, TX
About
On-Site A/C & Heating runs as a straight HVAC outfit based in Conroe, Texas where they handle air conditioning and heating repairs for local homes. Their NATE-certified technicians focus on keeping systems working through the long hot stretches that hit the area every year. Homeowners reach them for both sudden breakdowns and regular upkeep on units that have seen years of heavy use. The crew stays small enough to move quick without layers of office staff in between, which fits the practical needs of folks dealing with Texas weather that can push equipment past its limits.
Calls come in for jobs like the one where Tito rolled up on a Saturday morning inside two hours and swapped a failed contactor along with the capacitor on a unit that had lost cooling power. He followed that with a complete inside and outside inspection to spot any other weak spots before they caused more trouble. KC showed up early on another call and had the whole system running again in under an hour after it quit. The same approach applies when a homeowner handles the repair alone, with techs staying polite and direct instead of brushing off questions or trying to route everything through someone else.
Speed shows up again and again with arrivals that beat the usual wait times and fixes that stick without callbacks. Quality comes through in the extra checks that catch hidden problems during the same visit, while the professional manner keeps things respectful around the house and pets. Homeowners mention clear talk on what broke and what it took to fix it, along with no runaround on pricing for the work completed. DIRT Score 3.94 from 21 reviews on Finds.

“Tito showed up within two hours of calling on a Saturday morning. He was polite, respectful of the house and our pets, replaced the contactor and capacitor and did a thorough inspection of the unit inside and out to make sure there weren't any other problems hiding. Well done On-Site and Tito. Will definitely use them/him again.”
“Being a woman who has a husband that works out of town I have had to deal alot with figuring out repairs without him and many companies have talked to me Like I dont know what im doing or many times have said well we can talk to your husband about it and let him make the decisions which many times they do and he ask them why you asking me She knows our house and spends more time at it then I do, that being said Chris was not like that at all he showed up quick, figured things out and talked with my husband as he was here but then talked with me as I was at work and explained everything to me so I would know what was going and happening. Very understanding company and honest. We will only be using them Now”

“Bottom line up front, I had work done by On Site Air and bought the annual maintenance plan based on their reviews. Post work, I don’t trust them and would rather eat the cost of the maintenance plan than to have them touch my AC unit again. About a month ago, my AC unit stopped cooling very well. It was 75 in the house even though the thermostat was set for 73. I reached out to On-Site Air. They were prompt to come out, and after some investigation, informed me the coil in my AC unit was leaking. They ordered a new coil and informed me it was in a warehouse and would arrive in 10 days. They installed it on a Friday and by Sunday the AC was acting exactly like when I originally called them. The house was 75 and the thermostat read 73. Since they just finished the work less than 48 hrs prior, we called to have them come out. The guy inspected the AC unit again, and said it was the compressor. They gave me multiple options from replacing the compressor to replacing the entire outside unit. None of the options were cheap (~$4k). I asked for some additional information. That was a week and a half ago. They never called me back. I actually called another AC repairman to inquire about the repair. He came out also on a Friday and told me he wasn’t positive what the problem was, but was 100% sure it wasn’t the compressor. After investigating the issue, he thought it was a valve that was restricting flow. I had him order the valve and he came out on a Saturday and fixed the AC for a quarter the price and the AC unit works perfectly now. On Site Air would have had me fix another issue that wouldn’t have resolved my AC issues. In fact, I’m not sure now that the coil was even an issue. I’m convinced they just ripped me off with the coil replacement and would have been happy to continue taking me to the cleaners. So, even though I paid for the maintenance plan, there is no chance I’m using them again.”
