Knowing it was perhaps the worst time in recent history to endeavor in such a project, we prepared to be regularly upset, frustrated, and surprised by bad news, delays, and cost overruns. But, we did our homework, researched dozens of custom home builders, met with a few, and ultimately chose Dan. Why? Well, we knew we would be one of just a very few “irons” he had in the fire. Dan only takes on a couple projects at a time, ensuring he has the capacity to be available and responsive to his clients - and he is! From the very onset of project discussions, Dan was adamant that we get what we want, and he has done just that this far. He keeps us updated on every detail (good or bad), he gives us lots of heads-up on what is next and what we need to be thinking about and ready to make decisions on, he answers ALL our our endless (and often stupid) questions, he entertains our crazy ideas and offers sage advice on a better way to do it. Ultimately, he is making this project (which is supposed to be the most stressful thing a couple can do) very pleasant and low stress. We have so many friends and colleagues trying to build right now and having nightmarish experiences. Not us, thanks to Dan. He promised us a dream home, and he’s delivering.
