S O S Service Company
HVAC Contractor · Fort Worth, TX
About
S O S Service Company works as an HVAC contractor based in Jim Wells County, Texas, serving the Alice area and surrounding spots. They handle heating and air conditioning needs for homes and businesses that face the region's brutal summer heat and occasional winter freezes. The crew knows how dust, humidity, and older ductwork in local properties add extra wear on systems, so they focus on practical fixes that keep units running without constant breakdowns. Homeowners in this part of Texas deal with long stretches of high temperatures that push equipment hard, and the company stays ready for those demands.
They send technicians out for compressor repairs, full unit replacements, thermostat swaps, and coil cleanings that cut down on dust buildup common around here. Routine maintenance visits include checking refrigerant levels and airflow to stop small problems from turning into no-cooling emergencies during peak summer. Crew members track down leaks or electrical faults on the spot and explain options in plain terms before starting work. In Jim Wells County the soil and wind kick up grit that clogs filters fast, so they emphasize regular service calls to extend equipment life and avoid surprise outages when the heat index climbs past one hundred.
Customers give solid marks for quick response when units fail, which helps during the worst weather stretches, along with clear updates on what needs fixing and fair costs for the labor involved. Quality holds up on the actual repairs, with fewer callbacks once the job wraps. Mixed feedback on pricing shows up now and then, but the overall pattern points to reliable service that matches what the area requires. DIRT Score 4.3 from 197 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“I took Brendon word…he said SOS wasn’t scared of the challenge and so far so good. I’ve ran the truck hard for the first three weeks of a new rebuild and it hasn’t let me down. Guys, if I hadn’t just put $10k into the truck I don’t think I would have rebuilt the engine…but I knew what I had in the truck. If you have a truck that you know…it’s worth putting the work in to fix the truck. I could have easily went and bought someone else’s problem truck but Brendon sold me on the rebuild. I have to give it to the guy, he’s a helluva salesman.”
“Justin at the front desk made dropping my truck off easy. Mikeal took care of the truck quickly and kept me updated on issues that were found along the way. Got my repairs done and yearly inspection as well. Even greased up my hoist for me without me having to mention it. Their guys went beyond what I would've expected.”
“Everything was overpriced parts, labor, and additional fees. The final bill was far higher than expected, with little to no clear explanation for the charges. I felt taken advantage of and pressured to pay. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. Please get quotes from other places before bringing your truck here.”
“SOS. You’re truly special, I wanna thank the whole company as a whole for the assistance they provided. And a special thanks to cowboy mike for being there the whole time. Brenden, Brandon and Mikeal was also a great help. For good prices and time sensitive matters; SOS Truck & Trailer repair will be a great choice. Thanks guys”
“I wound up taking it to a dealer afterwards to finish the job which involved more money but they worked with me a lot and while working on it they found bolts missing that had to be replaced. Also SOS left my van dirty on the inside and outside and they put $150 miles on it while they had it.”
