About

Ranchhand Refrigeration handles HVAC work across Frio County, Texas, with a focus on keeping ranch homes and agricultural setups running through the heat. They cover Pearsall, Dilley, Bigfoot, Moore and the outlying rural stretches from their base in Elmendorf as a licensed outfit under TACLA29221C. The crew deals with both residential air conditioning and heating along with commercial refrigeration systems that farms and food businesses depend on year round. Frio County weather and the local economy tied to ranches mean these contractors see plenty of calls for systems that must hold up under heavy daily use.

They provide 24/7 emergency AC repair and respond to most Frio County service calls inside a day, sometimes quicker when the situation calls for it. The team installs new residential units with warranties, fixes existing heating and cooling equipment, and maintains walk in coolers plus other commercial refrigeration for agricultural operations and local businesses. Ranchhand Refrigeration travels the county roads to reach remote spots and works on both standard home setups and specialized farm climate control without extra layers of process.

Customers note solid response times on urgent repairs and fair pricing for the work completed in rural areas, though quality feedback varies on longer term fixes and communication can lag on follow up details. Speed gets credit when techs arrive ready to handle immediate breakdowns, while some jobs show mixed results on holding up after the initial visit. DIRT Score 2.99 from 29 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

This is my first time coming to this city in Texas. This is one of the best companies I’ve been to in Texas. Check-in only took about one minute. I had 12 pallets and they unloaded everything in about 10 minutes. No complicated process at all, very smooth and very fast. Highly recommend.

Terrible powder coating, shipped with the wrong bar to relocate parking sensors. Couldn't get them to stand behind product so repainted myself and made my own bracket. Tried to avoid cheap chineese knock off online and thought I was paying extra for quality...

Have not even had the bumper a year and it’s already peeling regards to the paint. There’s multiple places that are already resting. This is a very poorly built product. Very sad that I put three of them on three of my vehicles. They will not stand behind their product and when you call for customer service, it’s not existent.

I purchased a Ranch Hand Sport bumper/grille guard through a vender. When I unwrapped and installed the bumper I noticed some paint runs. After installation and in brighter daylight several issues were pointed out including heavy welding splatter several inches away from the weld, the fair lead mounts welded on the lower rail crooked, the top of the bumper winch cutout cut crooked, and an area that was never painted. Given the price of this bumper and the reputation of Ranch Hand, I was obviously disappointed. Consider another manufacturer as Ranch Hands quality control isn't doing their job.
