About
Ez A/C & Heating Service runs HVAC operations out of Dallas, Texas with a focus on air conditioning and heating systems for homes and small commercial spots. They handle installs, repairs, and upkeep on units that deal with the area's heavy summer loads and occasional winter dips. Background details show they cover full system work including ductless setups, furnace services, and indoor air quality fixes without overcomplicating the process. Homeowners reach them for everything from basic checks to complete replacements that keep properties comfortable through tough seasons. The crew stays practical about matching equipment to building needs and avoiding downtime when things stop working right.
They put in new units at buildings like Skinique Med Spa, handling the full job from start to finish at a fair price with responsive follow through. Sean handled a spring service call for Yasir Hassan by showing up on schedule, swapping filters, cleaning the whole system thoroughly, and walking through the details step by step. Another job replaced an old HVAC setup with a 5-ton 15-SEER Trane model after beating other quotes, with the owner handling quoting and scheduling directly while a crew of three or four finished the install on time. At NTX Motorworks they managed a complete new construction HVAC install from planning through execution, keeping the layout clean, organized, and meeting code across the facility.
Customers keep coming back because the work shows up on time, holds solid quality without shortcuts, and stays priced right against competitors. Communication stays clear from the first quote through the final invoice, with techs like Sean explaining fixes in plain terms and crews delivering organized results on schedule. Speed shows in prompt arrivals and quick completions, while quality comes through in reliable systems that run right after service or install. DIRT Score 5.0 from 38 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Their customer complaints are legitimate!! Our pioneer mini split unit in our master bedroom started blowing hot air and displaying an error code. I requested service through our home warranty with American Home Shield. They assigned this company, and I paid my $100 deductible. They called the same day, informing me that a technician would notify us the day before his arrival. The night before, at 7:48 pm, Mike, a technician from A US Air, texted me. He said he would arrive the next day between 12 PM and 3 PM. Keep in mind I had specifically requested a repair for the mini split unit in my work order. When Mike arrived the next day, my wife took him to the master bedroom to show him the unit. He looked confused and asked, “What is this?” My wife explained that it was our mini split unit that needed repair. He seemed dumbfounded and said it was the dumbest idea he’d ever seen, considering we have central air conditioning. She explained that we use the mini split AC to cool down our master at night without having to cool the entire house, since it’s only she & I that live here. He dismissed this as a waste of energy and insisted we should use our central AC instead. The outside unit of the mini split is located on a flat roof above our master bedroom. Mike refused to go up there, claiming he was told the service call was for an AC unit and didn’t realize it was a mini split. As I mentioned earlier, the work order specifically stated “mini split” in the master bedroom. Despite this, Mike left without doing anything. The main breaker on the unit has been turned off since the malfunction, and he didn’t even attempt to flip the breaker to assess the problem. He told my wife he wasn’t going to work on our unit and left our house without doing anything. I’m genuinely relieved that he never touched the unit because it’s clear he lacks the expertise to handle it.”
“They did ultimately fix my ac but it took multiple calls and 3 trips to my house. I eventually was able to get ahold of someone higher up who helped but when I first called they said I couldn’t talk to anyone else bc there supervisor was just going to tell me what they were saying which was that WED was the earliest they could come back out making it a full week since they had already came out and “fixed it” eventually they were able to come the next morning after I spoke to someone else.”
“UPDATE: After the company publicly responded to my review saying they “strive to make customers happy” and asked me to call, I did exactly that in hopes of resolving the issue. Unfortunately, nothing changed. The representative I spoke with acknowledged that they cannot definitively say the airflow caused the evaporator coil leak. However, he also said they would not be contacting American Home Shield to clarify the diagnosis and instead told me my only option was to pay another service fee through AHS for a second opinion. He also explained that the supervisor I previously spoke with the one who was dismissive and repeatedly told me it was “impossible” to update the diagnosis was actually just a scheduler and wasn’t familiar with the technical aspects of the claim. So despite admitting the cause of the failure cannot be stated with certainty, the company still refuses to clarify the report that AHS relied on to deny coverage. Their public response gave the impression they wanted to make things right, but after calling them as requested, I found that nothing had changed. __________________________________________ Unfortunately, my experience with this company was disappointing from beginning to end. Our original technician texted us the day before our appointment to let us know he had a family emergency and wouldn’t be able to come. The next morning, around 7:00 a.m., he texted again saying he was back and could come out after all. About an hour later, he apologized and said the company had removed him from our job. When I called the office, I repeatedly explained that I had text messages from the technician saying he was available, but the person I spoke with insisted there was no way that could be true. It wasn’t until I explained the situation multiple times that they agreed to look into it. They eventually called back and told me another technician would have to come on Thursday instead. Later, the original technician informed me that he had been fired. Living in Texas, where temperatures were over 100 degrees, this delay wasn’t just inconvenient. The mini-split cools the area where my autistic son receives his daily ABA therapy, so he was unable to use that space while we waited several more days for service. The technician who ultimately came to our home was polite and professional. He found two refrigerant leaks, repaired one, and determined the indoor head would need to be replaced. While he was here, he explained that the location of the mini-split could have contributed to the failure, but did not tell me that it was the definite cause. After American Home Shield denied my warranty claim, I contacted the company because the report submitted to AHS stated the leak was “due to” the installation location. I spoke with the supervisor, who repeatedly insisted it was not possible for them to contact AHS or update anything in the report. I then contacted AHS directly and was told that if the contractor needed to clarify the diagnosis, they absolutely could contact the Authorization Department to update it. I called the company back and explained exactly what AHS told me. Instead of trying to help, the supervisor became rude, dismissive, and said they “don’t do that” and refused to contact AHS. What was most frustrating was that the supervisor acknowledged they could not say with certainty what caused the evaporator coil leak, yet they still refused to clarify the report that AHS relied on to deny my claim. I was never asking anyone to change the facts. I was simply asking that the report accurately reflect that the cause was not definitive. Instead, I was met with poor communication, contradictory information, and an unwillingness to assist after the service call was complete. The technician who came to my home was courteous, but my experience with the company’s management and customer service was extremely disappointing. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.”
“My experience with a US Air conditioning of Texas has been great. Everyone I have interacted with has been professional and friendly and honest. They were able to keep my old heat pump working for years until I was ready for a complete upgrade recently. Javier and Derek did an outstanding job with my heat pump upgrade installation. They were friendly and efficient and explained everything to me. Jeremy has fixed my AC over the years and was instrumental in recommending my new unit. He knows his stuff. I highly recommend this company if you need your AC or heat pump fixed or installed and I look forward to working with them in the future.”
“I am extremely disappointed with AUSAir's customer service and scheduling practices. My home warranty company assigned AUSAir to service my air conditioning system. I scheduled the appointment over a month ago, and despite having ample notice, AUSAir has postponed my appointment twice. This might be understandable during a busy season if there were clear communication and reasonable rescheduling efforts. However, after waiting more than a month during the Texas summer, I still have not received the service that was originally requested. As a customer, it feels like warranty work is being treated as a lower priority than direct-pay service calls. Whether that is actually the case or not, the repeated delays and lack of urgency certainly create that impression. When temperatures are reaching extreme levels, air conditioning is not a luxury—it's a necessity. Customers should not have to wait over a month and endure multiple postponements for a basic service appointment that was scheduled well in advance. I would not recommend AUSAir based on my experience. If your service request is being handled through a home warranty company, be prepared for potential delays, repeated rescheduling, and significant frustration. One star.”
