“The WORST! Louis, the owner of Dalton Air, installed by my HVAC units 6 years ago, so I thought it a good idea to get the installer to fix the unit that stopped working. I had his cell phone number from back then so I texted him. But his company has become AWFUL and replaced their humans with AI. He sounded very empathetic and efficient when I first reached out to him, but a full day went by and none of his staff called to set up a time. I explained my son was sick and had to sleep on our bathroom floor, the only cool room he could sleep in. Louis seemed to be very good at being empathetic 'I'm sorry, I know you're frustrated' but strangely incapable of getting his staff to return a call. Hmm... weird for the owner to be so ineffective with his staff, surely you have access to your dashboard and can see whether or not you can get me in that day or if it will be three days, or surely you can call your staff and tell them to call me back. Despite him re-assuring me that I had been marked urgent and critical no one ever called back for THREE DAYS, despite me following up multiple times a day. Then I finally asked him if he was the owner, and there was a sheepish 'No, I'm Jerry the automated assistant for Dalton's Air.' There is literally not a human in sight - no humans pick up the phone, no humans answer texts. I felt so cheated that this was Louis' personal phone number and I was speaking to a robot! 'I'm sorry is literally meaningless coming from an AI'. It cost me days of intense heat in my house delaying my son's recovery. I just wish it had introduced itself as an AI so I'd have known not to take its reassurances as anything other than hot air. P.S. With this deep a use of AI I'd be really circumspect of all their 5 star reviews... those are probably AI as well...”
