“The last thing I wanted to see at 1:30pm on a Friday (of a holiday weekend no less) was water leaking out of my garage onto my driveway. A leaky water heater - great. I called my home warranty company, who wanted me to pay for a service call upfront in order for someone to call me back in 2-3 business days to *schedule* a visit. “I couldn't figure out why my AC wouldn't kick on at the beginning of this summer season, but I called Ellsworth and they sent a technician same day to diagnose (and showed up earlier than expected which was great). Donn was very quick to figure out and explain the issue was was a blown motor, and he took care of getting the new motor selected. The next technicians (Martin and Jake) came out a few hours later and installed the new motor in less than an hour, and my AC was running beautifully within the day. “Dear Ellsworth Home Services Team, Thank you for sending a technician to inspect our AC unit. However, I am writing to express my concern regarding the diagnostic information provided. Your technician informed us that the unit was low on freon and had a leak. Based on this, we contacted our landlord, who requested a second inspection through their insurance and HVAC provider. The second inspection confirmed that there is no leak and the freon levels are fine; the only accurate finding from your technician was that the coils were dirty. It appears that your technician provided false information to generate unnecessary business. Also, because of this, I had to pay a 120$ deductible for the insurance service.
