What Customers Say
“Daffan is simply the best! Jonathan is always curious, informative, and incredibly knowledgeable. He takes the time to explain everything clearly and makes the entire experience easy and stress-free. Daffan is a company I trust completely, and I would gladly recommend them to my friends and family. They truly deserve a 10 out of 10!”
“I have been using Daffan for several years now. They installed our new heat pump AC unit five years ago and it runs great. I have been having them do a spring check up on it every year and I am always impressed with the professionalism and time they spend on the check up. It is not a quick once over like some other companies that I have used in the past would do. My favorite technician is Vicki. She is extremely thorough and ensures everything is working just like it should. I recommend Daffan and will be using them for all of my future ac needs.”
“Not sure how much good this review will do because this company obviously pays for the reviews, but if it saves one person from unnecessarily spending thousands, I figure it’s worth a shot. I’ve waited an entire week to cool down, figuratively as well as literally, before reaching out to them to let them know of my experience as well as leaving this review. My previous experience where another company misdiagnosed a faulty circuit board at $1200 on my exterior unit, and Daffan came out and found it was only a broken wire, when my air conditioner quit working due to a communication fault I called them out again. This time Daffan diagnosed the same board that was NOT the issue the first time. Only this time they told me the board was not available and the only “fix” was a complete new system. To the tune of $10k-$15k. Needless to say I was very skeptical. Especially since I had the circuit board from the previous misdiagnosis. Imagine their surprise when I produced the board. Even after the board was replaced they stood by their diagnosis and said the only “fix” was a complete system. After the second service call, that’s all their “trained” professional “repair” technicians could come up with. Within an hour of them leaving my house I was able to find a completely separate board in the attic, inside the air handler that had an obviously burnt transistor. That board is called… guess what? The communication board. After some research online I was able to find the part number and source the board for under $300. Which fixed the issue. When I called to inform them of this and request a refund for my service call fee for a misdiagnosis, they had their service manager call me. I explained that not being able to properly diagnose and repair the equipment they are paid to diagnose and repair and instead tell their customers the only “fix” is a new system that will cost $10k to $15k is, at the bare minimum, completely unethical. His answer was to suggest I call another company in the future. Basically, when I called them out on their inability to do what they’re paid to do, and instead swindle those who trust them out of tens of thousands of dollars, he was offended. I have the physical capability as well as the drive and resources to figure out these things and actually fix them. But I keep thinking about all the people who don’t. What if, instead of me, it was the elderly couple across the street? Or the widow that doesn’t have a husband to handle these things? Or the people that are struggling to make ends meet? Telling these people they have to spend tens of thousands of dollars to have air conditioning when it’s simply a $300 part is borderline criminal. At minimum it is unethical. And is 100% predatory. We trust these people to be honest. We value their supposed expertise and opinion. And to have them lie to us is a miscarriage of trust and form of theft. I’m not sure how long they’ll let this stay up, but if it helps only one person save tens of thousands of dollars it’s worth it. Edit: Had another company come check out my system. Here are the results. I have actual readings and measurements of amp draws, dry/wet bulbs, rh, enthalpy, pressures, temps, vapor/liquid saturations, superheat, subcooling, etc. SummaryOverall, The checklist confirms your system passed its cooling tune-up with flying colors. The motor, coils, electrical boards, and refrigerant charge are all in great condition. I dare someone from Daffan to reply and tell me a need a new $15k system.”
“Huge shoutout to Daffan Cooling & Heating for sponsoring an incredible lunch today for the Leadership Glen Rose Group and the Glen Rose Chamber of Commerce. The event at the historic Barnard's Mill was fantastic, and the street tacos provided by La Fondita de Cristina #2 were amazing. It is great to see a local business consistently supporting our community.”
“I called Daffan at 9AM because our heat pump was not operating correctly. The friendly and helpful customer service representative took some basic details and scheduled a service call for the same day between 3-6PM with the expectation if an earlier appointment became available, a technician would call. Sure enough, an hour before the scheduled service window I received a call and met the technician, Jonathan, at the property. He presented as a confident and professional service technician. He quickly troubleshot the HVAC issue, analyzed the heating system and went straight to work making repairs. When complete, using his mobile device, I paid for service easily, and have to say, was pleased with the amount charged. Very reasonable. The entire process could not have gone more smoothly than what I experienced. Highly recommend Daffan for your HVAC service needs!”
