“I grew up with a mechanic who took care of all our cars until he passed away when I was in my early twenties. After moving to Dallas, I struggled to find a trustworthy mechanic, whether at a small shop or a dealership. I often encountered issues such as incomplete work, mistakes, or even had to request my old parts back to ensure I was receiving the services I paid for. However, I accidentally discovered Carlin's when I lived in Duncanville for a year, and it has been an amazing experience. This place is incredible – they don't try to upsell you. Instead, they explain what repairs are needed, what can wait, and what can't. Their pricing is fair and honest, and all the technicians are polite, professional, friendly, and exceptionally knowledgeable. They do fantastic work! I assure you, you won't regret going to Carlin's. It’s almost a one-stop shop, and I believe they plan to expand their services to include front-end alignments, which would cover almost everything you need. If there’s something they can't do, they’ll let you know and refer you to someone reliable. I truly hope this place lasts for another 25 years, as that’s about how long I have left on this Earth. I would love to know that I can rely on Carlin's for every car I own in the future, without worrying about whether the vehicle will be safe and roadworthy. It wouldn't let me post this without a photo so I'm posting a picture of the car they worked on which was a 2018 Chevrolet Sonic LT which by the way they no longer make on the parts are from Mexico and Canada which can be expensive and hard to find but I never have any issues when I take it to Carlin's.”

“Here is to share my story and show my heartfelt appreciation to Carlin and his colleagues. Two weeks ago on my road trip from Toronto to Houston, my car hit blown truck tire debris on the highway to Little Rock at night. The A/C stopped working soon after this. It sounded everything else worked fine. After tolerating the extreme heat in Texas for two days and stopped at Dallas, I decided to take my car to check whether the A/C could be fixed right away. Upon a Google search, I was fortunate to find Carlin’s Auto near my hotel. Upon a professional and detailed check, Carlin and his colleagues fully explained what had happened that night after hitting a tire debris. The A/C pipe was twisted and leaking out all refrigerants. The car radiator was loosened and not properly attached any more. To be worse, the coolant was leaking through the radiator. They provide professional options about how to prioritize and fix the damages as per their risks involved and why. All were also planned to expedite the repairs in order to accommodate my current road trip. I am glad I fully accepted their professional advice and managed my original trip plan to stay one more day in Dallas to have all fixed. This does provide a maximum level of comfort when I continued my trip to Albuquerque NM, Page CO, Las Vegas NV and return Toronto ON two days ago. None of A/C and radiator issues exist any more. Thank you Carlin and your colleagues. Your professional and quality service is really appreciated! BTW, the community and the park very close to Carlin’s Auto are scenic and quiet. There is even a group of wild monk parakeets. Also there is a library there. You would not be bored if you are waiting for car service.”

“Quite pricey but great and reliable mechanic work. I had my oil changed and a few things engine related done here. Their service is excellent and I trust them. Heard lots of great comments from local friends who have been using this shop.”

“We highly recommend this business! They helped us out when we were traveling from Indiana, and had a very short time to have our lower control arms replaced on our 2017 Subaru. We arrived about 2:30 pm and had to be at an event in Plano by 6:30 that evening. After diagnosing the problem, Carlin was able to find the parts at a nearby supplier (A miracle! Usually if you order parts in the afternoon you can'tget them until the next day.) He put two of his mechanics on the job and they finished the work just before 5:00 (their closing time). The cost was fair and we were able to get to our event on time. Carlin and his team are honest, friendly, and hardworking. We are grateful that they went above and beyond to finish the work and enable us to attend the event that evening. They made our car safe to drive back to Indiana the next day.”
