About
Johnson Control Inc is based in Beaumont, Texas and specializes in HVAC work. They deal with equipment installation and controls for buildings, including systems that manage heating and cooling in commercial spaces. The company has experience working on larger properties as mechanical contractors. In a place like Beaumont with its humid climate and frequent need for reliable air conditioning, they address issues tied to building automation and refrigeration setups. Customers often contact them when existing controls fail or when new systems require integration.
They provide services like installing control systems and responding to service calls for HVAC problems. Reviews mention technicians handling jobs on building controls where systems stopped working properly. One customer noted issues after twenty years of dealing with them on multiple properties, including cases where buildings could not operate correctly due to control failures. Another described problems with an installed system that triggered alarms nightly, leading to repeated attempts to reach support through overseas call centers. Drivers for the company have been spotted in areas like Arlington and Richardson, sometimes operating vehicles in ways that raised safety concerns near schools and on roads.
Customers have pointed out ongoing problems with reaching the right people for fixes and getting systems back online quickly after installations. Feedback highlights poor communication when issues arise, along with questions about the quality of installed equipment and the speed of any response from the team. Price concerns come up when service does not resolve the problems as expected despite the costs involved. Reports also include unsafe driving by company vehicles in school zones and aggressive behavior on the road. These patterns across reviews explain the overall rating. DIRT Score 2.57 from 29 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Have been a mechanical contractor working on buildings with them for 20 years. They are difficult to reach about issues and I have several customers who cannot get their buildings working properly with their control system and their support is non existent. Had to contract directly with them on a job for a shared customer. They provided a cost for a scope of work, they did not complete that scope my employees and other trades took care of the scope for them. Not to my surprise they are still billing for the scope they did not complete and will not return any emails about the billing. Have told customers in the past and will continue to tell customers to go elsewhere for building controls.”
“Incredibly aggressive driver. Must’ve been running late to his son’s baseball game but if you’re representing a company vehicle, you should have behavioral standards. Shame on you. Arlington/Mansfield”
“Very unsafe driver speeding through a school zone in Richardson/Garland 08/17/25 around 3:30 pm”
“The system they installed is defective. I have tried to get someone out to fix it. Service is terrible. The alarm has been going every night for 4 nights. The only people who you can contact work out of a call center in the Phillipines. I am resorting to publishing my review because no one from the company has called me back. They love to put you on hold and transfer you around. I regret ever contracting with this security com.”
“I only give them 1 star because no stars is not an option. Customer service is obviously not their strong suit. Multiple reasons why something doesn't happen, speak to 6 different people to get a "we're working on it" answer. All that just for a few parts that I don't even need them to install. Any other company sees that as the easy money and jumps all over it. Not our boys at JCI-Simplex. even when the lack of parts is costing another one of their customers money from loss of revenue the parts can't seem to be found.”
