Caprock Heat & Air
HVAC Contractor · Hemphill County, TX
About
Caprock Heat & Air handles HVAC work in Hemphill County, Texas, from their spot at 603 N 2nd St in Canadian. Their listed hours cover weekday mornings only, from eight until noon, with the doors closed on weekends. The profile shows up under the general contractor category and carries just one photo without a claim attached.
Customers have brought them in for air conditioning repairs and full unit replacements, including one case where a support stand was built for the new setup. Appliance repairs show up too, such as sourcing and installing replacement parts for an icemaker after the shop called ahead with pricing details. Ductwork jobs get mentioned as well, along with heater service calls that pile up during colder stretches.
Reaching the shop can take extra effort since they rank as one of the few local options for these repairs. They handle calls in the order received and phone ahead on part costs before ordering anything. Response times stretch out in busy periods, with some customers waiting more than a week or missing service entirely when heater demand spikes first. Attempts to book HVAC visits through the summer have fallen through for others. Phone manners come across as polite and direct, and the work moves along once the crew arrives on site. Prices run higher than some expect because of the rural location.
Feedback splits across the seven reviews, with low marks for no-shows, slow ductwork jobs, and overcharges standing out as common complaints. A handful of higher notes mention efficient fixes and clear communication once contact happens. DIRT Score 1.3 from 7 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Caprock can be hard to get a hold of cause they're one of the only local appliance repair places. But they try. They've always gotten to us in order of their calls. They've fixed my air-conditioning, and helped replace it. He even built it a support stand. I was sad to see a low rating. I know many of my neighbors who they've been there for. Prices can be costly cause we're in a rural area. If cost wasn't a concern I'd go to them for all my appliances needs. I trust them to stand by their service.”
“I ask them to let me know the cost of the replacement parts for my icemaker before ordering. They called with that information, I gave my permission to order and as soon as it arrived they called me to schedule a time to fix it. They have always been very nice & efficient.”
“They haven't ever shown up. I called over a week ago and was told they would get to me when they could because lots of heaters needed service first. I'm giving it 1 star because it won't let me guve it a 0.”
“"Zero Star=Zero Service" Attempted to get this company out to service my HV/AC all summer. Try to use local service providers. Not trying anymore.....”
“Very polite and helpful on the phone!”
