Airtran Refrigeration Llc
HVAC Contractor · Houston, TX
About
Airtran Refrigeration Llc operates out of Houston, Texas where they handle HVAC work for homes throughout the area. The company focuses on heating and cooling systems that deal with the city's long stretches of intense heat along with the sudden cold snaps that hit in winter. Their technicians handle installations and repairs for both air conditioning units and furnaces to keep indoor temperatures steady no matter the weather outside. Houston's climate wears down equipment faster than most places so the crew stays ready for quick setups on new systems and fixes when parts fail from constant use.
They take on air conditioning installation and repair along with heating work that includes putting in new furnaces and fixing existing ones. Maintenance plans come with regular tune ups on fresh equipment to catch problems before they grow. Jobs often involve same day installations when a homeowner picks up a heater and air conditioner at once. Technicians such as Alberto get sent out to inspect for leaks and other issues. Service windows run from early morning starts at 8 AM or afternoon slots between 12 and 5 PM. The dispatch team manages the scheduling but sometimes requires an extra call if the arrival time changes during the day.
Homeowners return because the crew arrives ready to complete the installations and repairs in one go without dragging things out. The cost stays fair for the work done and the options get explained clearly during the visit. Response times stand out on urgent calls with solid fixes on cooling problems every time. Once a job is scheduled the updates keep coming so people know the plan ahead. DIRT Score 5.0 from 3656 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“Horrible Customer Service! I bought a heater and AC in January 2026. I was happy that they were able to install the units on the same day (night) that I purchased them. Overnight, we discovered that the system was not working correctly. When I called the company to come back, they kept trying to make me call a 3rd party warranty company. After some time, they agreed to send a technician who replaced the thermostat that should have been done originally. Recently, I had a service come clean out my duct system. The technician asked me to come to the attic where he showed me that one of the ducts was not connected., see attached picture. Airtron did not do any duct work for me, but would have had move the unit where the duct was connected. They did not ensure that the duct was reconnected. I called them and again they tried to make me call the 3rd party warranty company. After a bit, I was told that the manager was in a meeting and they would call me when he was finished. When the operator called back, she told me that this was not covered by their warranty. I asked to speak to the manager and was sent to his voicemail. I did not get a return call. My intent was to vent about the poor quality of work and get a quote on replacing the duct work. These guys ain't worth your business.”
“I have been paying for to Airtron for their service and to have a complimentary tune up service for a brand new unit and today 02/21/2026 they were supposed to come with a time frame starting at 8am and it is 8:18pm and the technician never showed up. I called twice today and the people on the call center were very nice promising the manager was going to call me and they never did. Last year they pulled the same thing and they were supposed to come 2 times and they didn’t do it. A company that has no respect for their customers is a company that doesn’t deserve to be considered for the service they offer. This company is very disrespectful with their customers that does not have the courtesy to call and reschedule the appointment. I wish I could give less that 1 ⭐️to this company. They install DR Horton AC units but is you can find another HVac company that does your maintenance do It. This company SUCKS to their cores.”
“I'm not please that I was supposed to have a technician come to my home between the hours of 12-5 PM. I realized that it was getting close to 5 PM, and I had yet to receive a call from the technician. So I proceeded to call the dispatch to find out what was happening for me them to tell me that they weren't coming because of a vehicle issue. It wasn't cool that I had to call them to receive an update to find out what was going on. No pleased with that type of customer service.”
“For the other women homeowners out there that don't know much about home repairs in general, you understand me when I say it's SO important to find someone you can trust who isn't trying to take advantage of you. Sadly Alberto gave Airton a bad name when he overcharged for leak detection so I will never use them again and will be warning others to stay far away! I had a diagnostic visit on 6/5 with Alberto and at first I was so grateful for him completing his diagnostic visit but that was before I compared his service pricing to other AC companies in Houston. It was clear I had a leak but he said he had to do a leak detection test for $700 PLUS the diagnostic fee of $99 in order to find it. AND THIS WAS WITHOUT ANY FIXES TO THE ACTUAL PROBLEM. I asked him a couple times to check the coils, per chatgpts recommendation, and just as I suspected they were frozen all over. He said the freon would be $400 and the leak detection would be $300. I called around to other companies and their quotes were between $100 and $300 and most of them use a PPM tool to check the coils without having to buy a ton of freon. To management (because I'm sure ya'll will respond) is that your standard pricing for leak detection? If so, I highly recommend that you reevaluate it because you are charging DOUBLE what your competitors are.”
“Horrible customer service! A tech was supposed to come out yesterday between 12 and 5pm, when we didn’t get a call by 430 we called and they told the tech was running late but he would show. 7pm and still haven’t heard from anyone so we called back and were told the tech was stuck on a job and would call us shortly. At almost 8pm, the tech sends a text saying he can’t come but will come the next day between 12 and 5pm. It is currently 625pm and we have called multiple times only to be told the tech will reach out when they are on the way. Still no call and no show.”
