What Customers Say

I had my annual maintenance check up in November and they found a leak in a coil. Dominic Fox came the next week to replace the coil. What should have taken around two hours took four. Dominic pumped too much Freon into my system, causing high pressure and had to call another tech out to my home to figure out the issue. He did not keep me updated on the job and had to call for help without telling me - I realized there was an issue when another tech showed up to my home unannounced. Not only was Dominic uncommunicative and ill equipped to complete the work, but he left a mess by my driveway next to the unit. There was debris everywhere, he left my lockbox unlocked, my electric box open, and drove through the driveway divider gravel with the truck. Before he finished the job, he came into my house and asked if he could heat up his lunch in my microwave. He was more concerned with eating than finishing the job at hand. I was frustrated, but ultimately let it go until a couple of weeks later, I went into my attic to change my HVAC filter. I was horrified to see that he left trash and debris everywhere, including a can in my insulation! He was drinking a beverage in my attic while he worked and tossed in into my insulation. He was so disrespectful toward my home, treating it like a trash can. The photos attached are just some of the screws, zip ties, washers, boxes, plastic, cans, etc. I cleaned up from my attic. I called customer service and asked to speak to the service manager Javier. The customer service rep noted my concerns and said Javier would give me a call back. Javier never got back to me. I’m upset that a company would show up to my home and disrespect it like this and furthermore, no service manager has taken the time to follow up with me. I have been telling my neighbors about my negative experience and I’d recommend anyone to look elsewhere for their HVAC services.

I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone! My 90 yr old father’s heater kept shutting itself off a was going to call his reg service company when he happened to see an AirTran truck at his neighbors house. He asked if the service tech could ck his unit since he was already there. The tech told him it would cost $119.00 for the service fee which he paid before the tech started the service call. After 3 hours of tearing his unit apart inside and outside he determined there was nothing wrong and put everything back together and was leaving. On the way out the door he saw the unit was running when it should have been off and went back in and determined it was just the thermostat. By this time my 90 yr old father was tired frustrated and confused.. The tech told him that only a licensed tech could install the thermostat and the cost would be $443.00 to install a non programable thermostat. Not having his Witt’s about him he agreed and paid.. When I got there the next day and called AirTran to understand how they can charge 443.00 for a non programable thermostat I was told he knew the price, nothing I can do and hung up on me. I’m not a genius but I know that a non programable thermostat does not cost 443.00 and literally anyone can install a thermostat. For them to take advantage of an elderly person on a fixed income is beyond me! Please watch over your families! Unfortunately there are companies like this out there 😑 UPDATE 3/3/2026 I want to update this post. A representative from Airtron reached out to me after this post and was very kind. We were able to come to an agreeable resolution for the above mentioned problems. I commend their quick response and desire to make things right. I have changed my rating and give them my full vote of confidence.

Very poor communication and unprofessional service. I waited over a month for parts with no proactive updates, and when the technician finally arrived, the experience raised serious concerns about both professionalism and preparedness. I originally scheduled a morning appointment for dehumidifier installation, UV light installation, and coil cleaning. After waiting until nearly 11:00 AM with no update, I called and was told they were waiting on parts (UV light) and would not be coming. No one notified me in advance, and no timeline was provided. Over the next month, I followed up a couple times and was initially told they were waiting on the UV light. When they later called to schedule, they stated the dehumidifier had arrived and that was what they had been waiting on, which was inconsistent with the earlier updates. When the technician (Angel) arrived, he immediately displayed a negative attitude. There was confusion about the attic access, and he expressed concern about getting the dehumidifier into the attic due to space constraints. When I attempted to go up to the attic to show him the access and layout, he raised his voice and said, “Don’t come up here, you don’t need to be here.” This was unnecessary and unprofessional, particularly given that it is my home and I routinely access the attic myself (e.g., for filter changes). When I asked about the UV light installation, he admitted he had only been told to “change a bulb” and was unsure how to install the unit. He also stated he did not know where the air return was, which raised concerns about preparedness. He made multiple trips back to his van with no clear plan. I was also concerned about them unpacking and moving the dehumidifier inside before confirming it could be brought up to the attic, so I asked what the process would look like and noted that the attic pull-down stairs may not support the combined weight of the technician and the unit. He did not provide a clear explanation and instead responded, “I’ll figure it out once we get it moved in here.” When I tried to ask follow-up questions to understand the plan, his responses were abrupt and dismissive, and he appeared unwilling to answer basic questions about the work being performed in my home. He then asked me to open the garage door and pulled down the attic stairs without clearly explaining what he was doing. During this process, my back door was scratched. My appointment window was 8:00 AM-1:00 PM, but he did not arrive until around 3:00 PM and spent another hour trying to figure things out. I had already rearranged my day and could not continue waiting, and I was no longer comfortable proceeding. A neighbor later described a very similar experience involving a technician with the same type of behavior - dismissive, uncommunicative, and only willing to speak to her husband, which suggests this may not be an isolated issue. Overall, the lack of communication, inconsistent information, questionable preparedness, and poor customer service caused me to lose trust in AirTron

Val was very professional, knowledgeable, and quick to diagnose the issue with my AC condenser. He explained the problem clearly and fixed it efficiently. I really appreciated his honesty and attention to detail. My AC is now working perfectly again. Highly recommend his service to anyone needing HVAC help!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AIRTRON. I went with this company, as they were the provider our homebuilder contracted with. We called to schedule service for an odor when running the AC. The technician arrived 12/26/25 not knowing the reason for the visit. The technician didn't have any knowledge of the Essential HomeCare plan i signed up for. He informed me he was scheduled for a heating service call, when I reported to the service center it was an A/c issue. I should have refused service right then. Instead I allowed the tech to service the unit, as he was already there. Maybe he would find a cause. After some amount of time, he finished up, shook my hand and was off. No issue resolution, just that he cleaned out one of the intakes. When i asked about a bill or invoice for services rendered, he said i would get an email. Never got one. A few weeks later when going into the attic to put away holiday decorations, I discovered two issues. First, the technician had displaced one of the ducts, and had not reseated it properly, and it was allowing air to escape into the attic space, and it was causing a whistling noise. Second, the technician decided to literally dump the debris, dead bugs, etc. from the intake canister right into the attic space. Right onto the insulation. I have subsequently called Airtron three times, to get ahold of the field supervisor to discuss the situation, unprofessionalism, and complete lack of customer care. No call back. And the office staff had the nerve to say I would need to pay a cancelation fee. What a joke. I will never recommend anyone to do business with Airtron. What a disappointment and failure of customer service.
