HVAC Contractor · Houston, TX
About
Texas Star Heat & Air operates its HVAC services from Hill County, Texas, drawing on more than 45 years of experience with both residential and commercial properties. The team handles the demands of the local climate, where summers drag on with intense heat and winters can bring unexpected freezes that test heating systems. They remain insured and bonded, relying on certified technicians to manage everything from routine checks to full system changes. Property owners in the area turn to them for reliable work that holds up without breaking the bank on costs. The crew covers air conditioning repair, heating fixes, new installations, and ongoing maintenance at rates that fit what local folks expect to pay.
When an AC unit quits during the worst of the heat, the crew gets out fast to diagnose and fix the issue without delays. Ron has stepped in on multiple calls to explain what went wrong and get the system running again, just as he did for one homeowner whose unit failed in peak summer conditions. Maria Torres received a full maintenance visit that included fresh filters plus an extra year's supply left on site for future use. Mike Gutierrez has called on them repeatedly for both his home and business because the prices stay consistent and the repairs hold without repeat visits. Ron Niles and his grandson Jayden handle emergency calls with clear breakdowns of the work and no added fees tacked on later.
Work quality stays high because the techs complete each job correctly on the first pass, which cuts down on return trips and keeps systems running steady. Response speed stands out when systems break in extreme weather, so owners avoid long stretches without cooling or heat. Fair pricing shows up in every quote with details given upfront that do not change. Communication keeps customers informed from the initial call straight through to payment, with techs answering questions directly. These marks add up across the board. What Customers Say
“I came home yesterday to absolutely no A/C, which is a total nightmare. Even though it is Memorial Day weekend, the owner of All Star A/C & Plumbing and his sons came out themselves on a Sunday to fix my air conditioning. They did this specifically so their other technicians could stay home and enjoy the holiday with their families. Seeing the owner working with his sons by his side to pass down the value of hard work and dedication was incredible. That level of business integrity, family values, and commitment to customer service is exactly why I love this local company. If you need reliable, honest, and fast emergency A/C repair or plumbing services, I cannot recommend All Star A/C & Plumbing enough. They are a family-owned business that truly cares about their community and their employees!”
“Had a great experience with All-Star this past week. After experiencing some issues with my AC, Laz visited my home to inspect the units. Clearly explaining the issue and service that was needed, All-Star was then able to schedule a repair the following day. Install went great, with the crew working hard to replace a unit in the attic. All-Star then followed up on the service with a quality inspection several days later, where Sean examined the system to ensure it was functioning properly. I highly recommend All-Star based on their professional, timely and friendly service!”
“Of course our A/C chose peak summer hours (holiday weekend) to act up. Luckily, All Star came to the rescue. Our technician Bobby was extremely thorough, professional, and knowledgeable. He identified the root cause quickly, explained the options, and got us back to livable temperatures. We've used All Star before, highly recommend them, and IMO, their customer service plan (spring and fall checks) is worth considering.”
“Our upstairs furnace stop cooling on a Sunday afternoon. I will say they were attentive and able to get out to my home in a few hours. That was the good part. The technician was very nice, BUT he told me it would cost just under $700.00 to replace the capacitor on our outside unit. $89.00 for the visit and $600.00 for the part. I questioned the $600.00 for the part and he confirmed the price. I cancelled them, went and bought the part at Ace Hardware for $35.00 and replaced it in 5 minutes! How many elderly or desperate people would have paid the $700.00? In my opinion, this is a dishonest business practice. I would stay away from them.”
“Ongoing issues. System has been having problems since installation. Within the first 6 months of install we’ve had technicians come back several times to fix various parts of our unit in the attic and they’ve found different issues each time that was causing the system to lag and not keep up when we only set our thermostat to 76. One time one of the issues was condensation was blowing too hard and caused a leak and hairline crack in the ceiling. They had a guy come out to “fix” our ceiling and all he did was kiltz it and he was so hard to get ahold of. After the 4th or 5th time of them coming back to fix various things (within 6 months of install) they finally got it to work and it was working well for about a year until we started having issues again the other day. I noticed the ac was lagging and the ceiling fully cracked and dropped a good 1” and I can see my attic. A technician came out and couldn’t deduce the issue but knew it was blowing hotter than it should when he checked the vent temperatures. He said the vents were blowing at least 10 deg hotter than they should. Then tried to charge us after even though we paid extra during install for 10 year labor warranty. So now we have to contest that. And the ac still isn’t working right and not keeping up and it’s 80 deg in my house and we have pets. Absolutely ridiculous. I’ve never had so many issues for a new system. My 10 year old ac at my previous house worked better than this. No one has been able to fix this system permanently and they rather keep coming back to “fix” this system that has had issues since the beginning vs putting in a proper working unit. I’m tired of having to pay high electricity bills for a poor efficiency machine and having to take time off work to be available for technicians. It’s irritating they’re not abiding by the 10 year labor warranty I paid extra for. Absolutely horrible. Do not recommend.”
