What Customers Say

Customer service from Jonathan was terrible. I will NEVER use this company again. Avatex partners with Home Depot to do fan installations. When I called to see if they would honor taking a faulty fan down, that they had just installed, he said no and proceeded to tell me that I had disrespected him and called him stupid then hung up on me. Neither of those things happened. He never offered a solution, only that I could pay more for them to take the fan down and then charge again to put another back up. They were not willing to honor anything or offer a compromise. I do not recommend this company at all. Beware when having Home Depot install anything from this company.

Jhonatan and his crew were so quick to assist us with our AC going out on Christmas Eve Wednesday. They were ready to replace our entire unit by Friday. They were efficient and very professional. Definitely recommend.

This company was dispatched through home warranty company for my son's home. They called to make an appointment and gave them a time frame between 12-4pm they would be there! They never showed, never called, never returned calls or texts.

I don’t like to leave bad reviews but our warranty company uses Avatex as their contractor and it has been beyond frustrating just to have someone come out for a repair. They’ve missed their window 3 different dates and don’t reply when I ask for an update or return my calls. I understand the struggles of being in the construction industry and appointments running late but after 3 different times, a customer should become a priority or least be provided some communication. I am happy to remove this review if we finally get someone out here and they address the issue.

I had an extremely frustrating experience with this company, which was assigned by my home warranty to fix my AC. I would not recommend them to anyone. In May, my AC stopped cooling. The technician came out and said I needed to pay out of pocket to have the outdoor unit cleaned since it wasn’t covered. I paid for that, but the system still didn’t cool properly. He then added refrigerant. When I asked why the refrigerant was low and whether there was a leak, he said he wasn’t sure and didn’t investigate further — just left it at that. By July 1, my AC stopped cooling again. The warranty company said it would be handled as a recall and that I wouldn’t have to pay another fee. I waited three more days for the same company to come back. They told me they would come on July 4 (yes, on the holiday) between 10–2. I stayed home from 10–3 with no updates or communication. I reached out and I was ignored. Finally, around 8 pm, the technician texted saying he was “45 minutes away,” which was not practical that late. He rescheduled for the next day and promised to text before arriving. When he showed up, he tried to charge me the $75 service fee the warranty company had already waived, and once again just added refrigerant — still not addressing the leak. He said he’d come back to add some kind of leak sealant but never returned. Now, the very next day, my AC still isn’t blowing cold air, and I also have water leaking from my ceiling due to their failure to properly diagnose and fix the issue from the start. This company wasted my time, failed to communicate professionally, and never resolved the root problem. I expected better service and accountability, especially for something as important as cooling during the summer heat. Very disappointing experience.
