“Back in September 2014, my two colleagues and I took a fantastic Saturday getaway to Space Center Houston (NASA Johnson Space Center) during our leadership program. It was an unforgettable day. The center offers an incredible, close-up look at space history, authentic spacecraft, astronaut gear, and real moon rocks. Walking through the exhibits and seeing the sheer scale of space exploration was truly awe-inspiring. It is highly educational, exceptionally well-organized, and fun for all ages. If you are in Houston, missing this place is not an option.”

“Get there early! It does get packed. We went on a friday and the line was already forming. We went on all tours it was amazing. Upstairs was closed though. They had kids arts and crafts, mine made lanterns with stars, also colored different rocketships and when scanned they show up on a screen going on the missions (to mars,the moon, ect.) We got to meet astronaut Mark Polansky. They only thing was there food was expensive! So Come prepared! We had food in our cooler. For a sweet tea $5, Vending machine or at the food lab, it was way to much. Even A bag of chips $7. Also we bought a few suvineirs there the prices were fair, but there is a store near where alot of NASA items are less. Over all it is an amazing experience! We will be coming back! And wear comfy shoes! It's alot of walking.”

“I'm amazed by the size of these engines and controllers. Getting through the line was very smooth. You can skip taking pictures at the start if you'd prefer. There was a fee for parking, but we managed to park for free, so enforcement might vary—definitely plan ahead. There aren't many spots suitable for young children, but it's excellent for those interested in science and STEM subjects.”

“We had a great visit to NASA Johnson Space Center, especially with our kids. We went on a weekday and there was no line, so buying tickets at the door was quick and easy. There are so many exhibits to explore, with plenty of hands-on learning. The kids got to build and launch their own moon landers, which was a highlight. The tram ride was excellent. We saw turtles and even an alligator in the grass going over the bridge. You can also see the Longhorn Project area before getting to the rocket park. We stood beneath real rockets, and our kids even got to sit inside a rocket thruster. We watched a video reenactment of the moon landing inside the NASA Control Center. It’s a nice balance of formal tours and self-guided discovery, so you can move at your own pace while still learning a lot. The gift shop was just as fun to browse, we picked up some stickers and tiny astronaut souvenirs to remember our visit. Definitely worth a trip, especially for families”

“Amazing experience. Something for everybody. We spent 4+hours. I could spend 4 days. Loved it all including the rocket park / tram, Tom Hanks narrated 50 min movie Moonwalkers...footage I had never seen. This is a must see while in Houston.”
