About

Gilberto De La Cuesta runs an HVAC operation based in Houston, Texas, where the focus stays on residential air conditioning and heating work for local homes. The company handles service calls and repairs in a city that sees heavy demand from summer heat and occasional winter cold snaps. Source notes show a pattern of office staff handling initial contacts, with mentions of assistants and schedulers like Lola who field calls about system problems and insurance details before any technician arrives on site.

Specific jobs described involve setting up appointments for extreme discomfort issues and then relaying billing concerns once the customer is already in pain or waiting. Technicians and office personnel have been noted for delays, with one case stretching five days from the first call, followed by follow-up questions on coverage that left homeowners unsettled. Reviews highlight repeated problems with how billing gets communicated, including the use of strong language that feels threatening, and interactions that turn hostile especially when language differences arise during discussions about repairs or payments.

Customers consistently point to poor communication that creates uncomfortable situations, rude behavior from assistants that lacks any clear reason, and overall unprofessional conduct during what should be straightforward HVAC visits. Speed suffers from long waits and last-minute insurance checks, while quality takes hits from manipulative exchanges and deleted feedback attempts after bad experiences. Price concerns come up through aggressive billing tactics that erode trust fast. DIRT Score 1.8 from 40 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

The assistants are rude and mistreat the patients without any justification. Particularly if there is any language barrier. Their behavior is unnecessary and hostile attitude, create a disrespectful and uncomfortable environment. This conduct is unacceptable in any type of setting. Particularly a place where patients should feel safe, respected, and properly cared for. This is not a suitable facility for elders or if they are Spanish speaking only. The receptionist is highly unprofessional and inadequately handles calls and checks in patients. Ensure to accompany your elders if you need visit this office.

I have been in billing and the medical field for over 16 years and I’ve never seen such a lack of professionalism and integrity. The way they relay billing issues to their patients are extremely unprofessional. Using threatening words is not a way to address patients.

My review was deleted but the doctor was extremely rude and manipulative. I already make a complaint to the board so I’m not tripping but for anyone else sake don’t go here.

Based upon a friend's referral, I contacted the office because I was experiencing extreme pain. Lola was very nice and put me in an appointment 5 days from this call. The morning of my appointment, I was contacted by Lola at the office asking me about my insurance and the reason for my appointment, which she had written down both incorrectly. She said I couldn't come in that day because of social distancing and the time required for being a new patient. I explained I do social distancing and I would wait in my car. When I pleaded to have my appointment kept because of the pain, she denied me any appointment. She said I should go back to a previous doctor that I haven't seen in years. I have never been denied an appointment after it was scheduled and at such late notice. When I called back later, I was told I couldn't even get the 3 week out appointment. The cruelty of her attitude and denial of care the day of the appointment leads me to write this post. This is unethical. Dr. De La Torre, you need to find a better office manager. This hurts your practice. I also think it is very strange that Lola could be so caring at my first call and then call me back the day of the appointment to reschedule and then decline any care.

Go elsewhere. Ultimately it is the Dr. responsibility to manage his staff. The front office and office manager, attempt to be professional in the handling of matters but they neither professional or thorough. Specifically Speaking of "Lola" the office manager. She has received many scathing reviews and I did not do myself any favors by ignoring those and saw Dr. De La Torre for a procedure in spite of the fact. Not only did they take my payments they lied about speaking to me over the phone or me contacting them about payment arrangements, they sure cashed the checks. She said the billing department made "numerous" attempts in regards to a balance and said its documented but she became frustrated and argumentative when I asked for the documentation of the letters they had sent but she was unable to produce. I will sue and take legal action against them for referring my account to collections so hastily and without final notice. This office worked with the Anesthesiologist and the Henderson Surgery center (which he partly owns) for my procedure and neither entity has rushed to send a balance to collections like this front office has. Precedent needs to be set and this is the first step as I know many of you are here reading reviews to avoid getting "screwed" or getting bad doctors. Start and do your part by boycotting such offices that could care less and disregard you as a person and just think of you as another patient on a conveyor belt of insurance money to fill their coffers.
