About

Goodman Heating & Ac works out of Limestone County, TX as an HVAC company that installs and services air conditioning and heating systems for local homes. They focus on residential setups using products from Goodman Manufacturing, including air conditioners, heat pumps, and gas furnaces suited to the region's hot summers and occasional cold snaps. Crews handle site assessments for new installations or replacements, dealing with both standard units and packaged systems that homeowners count on for year-round comfort. The outfit manages equipment from initial setup through ongoing support calls in the area.

Technicians perform full AC replacements where a new unit gets set in place only to stop producing cold air within months, forcing a service visit that carries its own charge even while the system remains under warranty. Jobs also cover fan blade issues that leave the thermostat active yet deliver no cooling and push electricity costs higher, along with cases where insurance-installed units fail after just two days of operation. Any attempt to open the equipment requires a Goodman tech on the phone first, or coverage gets voided right away, and appointments stretch out with added restrictions on what owners can do themselves.

Homeowners keep noting the same problems with warranty denials tied to registration deadlines, service fees that add up fast, and equipment that quits working soon after install, sometimes affecting two units at one property. Response times drag on for inspections, communication leaves people waiting without clear updates, and quality falls short when bills rise without results. Price gripes focus on charges for work that should stay covered. DIRT Score 2.02 from 36 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

Goodman Manufacturing has unfairly denied the 10-year warranty on my air conditioning unit based on an unreasonable registration policy. I purchased two brand-new Goodman HVAC systems and registered both of them myself. Unfortunately, I registered the second unit after the company’s 60-day registration deadline. Goodman informed me that because I missed this deadline, my warranty was reduced from 10 years to only 5 years. This policy is unfair and misleading. As a consumer, I purchased a brand-new Goodman system because it was advertised with a 10-year warranty. Most homeowners are not aware that they must search the company’s website and read the fine print to learn about a 60-day registration requirement. My HVAC installer told me to register the unit after installation, but did not register it on my behalf. Between caring for my family and my responsibilities at home, time got away from me. I was completely honest when registering my unit and accurately provided the installation date. I was not attempting to misrepresent anything. If Goodman believes the warranty should begin on the registration date instead of the installation date, I would have accepted that. Instead, they reduced my warranty to only five years, even though I purchased a brand-new system. Now my compressor has failed, and Goodman has refused to cover it under the 10-year warranty. As a result, my family is suffering in extreme heat. The temperature upstairs has reached 84°F, and I have a two-year-old child who is struggling in these conditions. A compressor is one of the most expensive components of an HVAC system, and denying coverage based solely on a registration deadline places a significant financial burden on customers. I believe the 60-day registration requirement is an unfair technicality that allows Goodman to avoid honoring the warranty consumers reasonably expect when purchasing a new system. I acted in good faith, honestly registered my product, and have proof that I am the original owner. Goodman should honor the advertised 10-year warranty and cover the cost of replacing my failed compressor. This would be a fair resolution and demonstrate that the company stands behind the quality of its products and treats its customers fairly.

Had a whole new AC unit installed, and within 5 months the AC stopped getting cold. It is still under warranty, but to have a technician come look at it is a service charge. And you cannot take the unit apart yourself or else the warranty will be voided. Extremely displeased, and I think I was scammed

Bought a house that has goodman AC, 2021 when it was installed! It keeps having problem! Blades wont turn but thermostat is on the whole time, making our electricity bill so high and no cold air! Sucks because we have two of this brand!

On Oct 30, my home insurance provider Old Republic installed a Goodman unit which worked 2 entire days before going kaput. The HVAC installer can only open the unit with a Goodman tech on the phone or the warranty is immediately invalid. It took forever to get an appointment and then Goodman stood us up. Left the poor repairman on my roof for an hour waiting. Today is January 25. It’s 40° outside. Do I really want this to happen this summer when it’s 120°?

Purchased and overprice Goodman HVAC last year from a local company in Los Angeles. The ac unit performs just fine. Winter hit and we have now had no heat since Christmas. Goodman doesn’t have the parts available to fix the $12000.00 unit. At this point I need to get a lawyer involved and have the unit replaced at Goodman expense. So much for American Quality.
