About

Har-Con Mechanical Contractor, Llc serves as an HVAC contractor based in Houston, Texas. The company has operated since 1955, accumulating seventy years of experience in the mechanical trade throughout the region. They focus on commercial HVAC projects including new construction and renovations for medical centers, museums, and campus facilities. Work often involves complex systems such as combined heating and power plants, condenser water replacements, and air handler installations at locations like the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Texas A&M sites. They also manage tenant finish work and building automation along with special projects for industrial facilities and office buildings in the Houston area. Their projects have included cooling tower replacements and chiller removals at various properties across the city.

Har-Con Mechanical performs HVAC services across Houston including new plant installations, storm line repairs, and system relocations for food service and office buildings. They manage everything from design to prefabrication for these jobs but the field execution draws attention through the behavior of their vehicle operators on Houston roads. Their operations rely on drivers operating vehicles such as V-30 which was seen tailgating on slippery roads at high speeds near 85 to 90 miles per hour. Other accounts describe T-40 cutting off other motorists while appearing intoxicated on 59 South and v-28 nearly striking pedestrians in rainy conditions without signals. Job sites have also faced scrutiny over safety harness sizing and ladder ratings according to past employees who worked on lifts. Crews travel to locations like medical centers and museums but the reported driving practices raise questions about overall reliability in getting to and from these HVAC projects.

Customers have pointed out repeated problems with how the company operates its vehicles and maintains safety standards on the job. Reports mention excessive speed, failure to signal, and potential impairment behind the wheel which affects perceptions of reliability and care. Issues with proper equipment for workers also come up as a concern. These factors across multiple accounts lead to the lower overall rating in areas like quality and communication. The feedback shows consistent dissatisfaction with the conduct that impacts daily operations in the Houston area for this HVAC provider. DIRT Score 2.71 from 23 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

had to hit a quick stop due to some debris on a slippery road, driver V-30 happened to be TAILGATING us at the same time. i suppose he was mad that he nearly rear-ended us because he swerved around us going at insane speeds and gave us the bird. a really fat bird. he was going nearly 85-90 the whole way down hardy. surprisingly. idk how that van could reach that speed. PLEASE fix ur drivers because looking at these reviews… these vans MAY have a kill count???

Driver T-40 was very obviously drunk driving on 59 South early in the morning. Cut me off and almost caused a wreck before swerving onto the shoulder.

No idea how their services are, if it's anything like their drivers it's likely awful. Driver nearly ran me over crossing the street, no turn signal, in the rain, driving way over the speed limit, missed me by inches. Whomever is driving vehicle v-28 should be terminated for breaking laws, and driving dangerously.

I am an X-employee. Been hired. . worked on a job with ladders not rated for my weight and was not provided a large enough safety harnest to wear for a scissor lift.. A week later I was. Let go. With a very weak unheared of explanation by the foreman on the job site. . . not happy with the way they proceeded .. I. Was never contacted by the management (who hired me)nor did. I contacted them. . . since I seen they had no back bone. . . . .

I think this company has problems with cultural differences a driver with company company vehicle v40 expected me a woman to let cut in line he is a male then he proceeded to sped around me.. Extremely immature and not a professional driver
