High Performance Plumbing And Air
HVAC Contractor · Houston, TX
About
High Performance Plumbing And Air operates out of Houston as an HVAC outfit that handles heating and cooling work for homes across the city. They take on full system replacements along with upgrades like new duct runs and moisture control setups. The crew shows up for both straightforward fixes and bigger jobs that involve multiple pieces of equipment working together in one house. Houston summers put heavy demands on air conditioners, so these techs focus on getting units running right the first time and keeping them that way through regular checks. Homeowners call them when rooms stay too warm upstairs or when older systems start failing during peak heat.
They install variable speed systems, mini splits, dehumidifiers, and energy recovery ventilators during remodels that also include spray foam insulation and complete ductwork. Technicians such as Christian and AB handle new unit setups on multi story houses with tight attic spaces, showing up even on rainy days to keep projects moving. One customer had Christian arrive early, track down a cooling problem, and fix it on the spot before running maintenance on both units. Another job involved sorting out a complicated layout where central air never reached all areas properly, with the team working through the details until performance improved across the floors.
Customers keep coming back because the crew stands behind every installation and shows real skill at diagnosing issues fast. Reviews highlight how the techs stay polite while getting the job done without dragging things out, and they handle the whole process from first visit to final adjustments. Quality shows up in the way systems hold up after big remodels, while communication stays clear on what needs fixing and what it will cost. Speed matters when Houston heat hits, and these guys deliver on that without cutting corners on the work itself. DIRT Score 5.0 from 79 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“The HPHS team did a big chunk of our remodel, spray foam, full new ductwork, a variable-speed system, a mini split, dehumidifiers, and ERVs, so we have spent real money with them. The thing that stands out is that they stand behind their work. We hit a few snags along the way, and like any company they could tighten up the communication side, but they stuck with it, worked through it all with us, and got to the right outcome. They honored their agreement and made things right. Every technician I have dealt with has been great too. If you are into building science and getting things done right, this is a great shop to work with.”
“Christian is polite and seems knowledgeable as a tech. So was his colleague AB. Everyone that came to install our two new units from High Performance were diligent and pleasant. They worked on a couple of rainy days and we aren’t done yet (as one of our two new units does not seem to be working correctly still) and needs some adjustments since they finished installing on May 1st. The owner, Lee, has been very responsive and involved, and Christian has come by to rebalance and they’ll be coming back again next week to check on things. Their customer service has been engaging, responsive and pleasant thus far, and I’m very hopeful and confident that they’ll get the second new unit figured out to optimal performance also.”
“Christian did a great job. He arrived early, determined the problem and fixed it. He then did the maintenance on both units.”
“Can’t say enough great things about this company. To say the least, our home and central air system were not performing optimally. Our home is a bit complicated (some rooms on first and second floor two stories with no attic space overhead, as well as only having a small attic with enough room for one air handler). Needless to say, our home was always ~10 degrees colder or hotter on one floor or the other and we were having issues with duct placement. Scott spent SO much time with me, answering technical questions and laying out the best option for my home. He follows the guide of physics and air flow mechanics, and manages to still be quite thoughtful when it comes to figuring out a solution for YOUR home. Edgar was our project manager, and he was also amazing. The two of them worked with their team to come up with a solution that so far has reduced humidity in our home by over 10% and now maintains the same temperature in every room. They did not just reinstall the exact same duct configuration that had been. Boxes were moved, ducts were resized - and our home has been in a great state since their install. Highly recommend Scott and his team.”
“I am just starting the process and feel very comfortable so far . The company came highly recommended and I believe they will be able to help me solve the issues! More to come.”
