About

Houston Coca Cola Bottling Company operates out of Houston, TX and focuses on HVAC work as part of their beverage business under Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages. They are one of the largest bottlers in the United States with a regional reach that includes Texas. Employing over 9,000 associates across 37 facilities and 7 production plants, they fuel local economies while handling the HVAC needs that keep their operations efficient. Their team comes from varied backgrounds and applies that diversity to practical trades like HVAC in the demanding climate of Houston where humidity and heat put constant pressure on cooling systems in plants and warehouses.

Customers who have worked with them on HVAC projects note that jobs can be completed quickly when scheduled properly, with some reporting turnaround times of two or three hours for deliveries related to equipment. One person arrived at 7:00 AM and was finished by 10:00 AM without an appointment. Others mention the need to arrive on time for 2pm appointments and head straight to the guardhouse since calls go unanswered. Unloading or setup often takes about two hours, and they advise planning for longer stays of five or six hours at the site to avoid issues with slow processes.

Reviewers give mixed feedback on speed with some jobs moving fast while others drag on for hours at the dock or staging area. Quality holds up in straightforward cases but communication suffers when signs and phone lines fail to connect people to staff. Price draws fewer comments overall yet the delays push the average down across hundreds of interactions. DIRT Score 3.23 from 378 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

I’ve loaded here several times and it’s been fast—about 2 or 3 hours. I came to make a delivery today; I checked in at 7:00 AM and was out by 10:00 AM. I don't see anything wrong with that. Regarding the other reviews: I didn't have an appointment; it was open scheduling.

Had a disappointing experience picking up at this location recently. Arrived on 8/21/25 @ 1:19pm for a 2pm appt.. Parked in truck staging area and walked up to guardhouse(like another reviewer wrote, don’t call number on sign-nobody will answer or pickup). Since I’m an outside carrier, the far right two lanes would be where I would have to pull truck up when it’s time. Was told by man at check-in desk to come back 10 minutes before appointment time with truck / trailer and check-in will happen then. I returned with truck and trailer at 1:50pm and got officially checked in. On to the shipping office next. Go all the way by docks and shipping/receiving offices make a right after wrhs building and follow small loop that flips around going back towards offices. Park at sign for check-in. I was first given a dock(17)that had a trailer in it . Then given a 2nd dock (20)after coming back inside. Moved to it, after a couple hrs was done. Pulled ahead and out from dock quickly as another truck was backing recklessly beside me. Once away in the clear , looked at how I was loaded and it was shameful. I was very heavy on my drives and last 3ea skids/pallets weren’t up against anything. It was at that time 4pm but I had to do the right thing. Back to the shipping office next. Spoke to a different person then and showed pics of what rear of load looked like. He had me back up into Dock # 15. Load was reworked and at 5:15pm was heading to guardhouse after putting on a couple of securement straps with corner protectors. At 5:18pm officially checked out and lady guard at gate signed my BOL’s and installed door seal verifying all that. Now spin forward to today 8-28-25 . This facility is not wanting to pay me the detention time they incurred for not loading their product correctly or safely so I could be better able to safely transport their product to one of their other locations with a better chance of their product not shifting and falling all over the floor of my trailer. If that were to have happened, it would be all my responsibility. Seems a little one sided when one of their own makes a mistake and they don’t want to adhere to the rules and pay for the time to fix it. Seems if they checked me in when I arrived at least 1/2 of the detention cost wouldn’t be there. You can’t have your cake and eat too folks at Coca-Cola ! I respected big companies like Coca-Cola but recently these mega companies like Coca-Cola that have their own private fleets treat the independent small trucking companies horribly and do some despicable things that are extremely dangerous and disrespectful. I feel sorry for their drivers and how they must be treated and paid. Be careful picking up here and don’t bother showing up too early. Only 10 minutes before your appointment are you allowed to check-in and enter even though it bites them in the foot sometimes. Check how they load you and make sure you secure load either with straps or bars . Add some pillows and plastic corner protectors and you should be fine. Bathroom with Soda Machine in Drivers check-in room. I was a big supporter of the Coke Zero until today. In the meantime I’ve switched to Pepsi Zero. Don’t think it’s as good but they pay for their detention time ! I was pulled into a scale house 21 miles from where this load delivered within an hour of delivery time and given a Level 2 Inspection after crossing scale. I passed with no defects but had I not gone back to get load reworked at Shipper things could have been much different. Think if Coca-Cola at best over loaded me they would pay for my overweight scale ticket? You’re right, no , of course not ! Especially if an hour of detention costs too much, overweight tickets are a lot more. Be careful with these folks , they’re acting like the bottled water people and not loading outside carriers correctly. P.S.- I would recommend everyone go to nearest scale after being loaded and get weighed. It’s good protection from places like this. Also get names of every person you interact with. Notations made on your BOL’s stating issues+fixes by whom

Heads up drivers, make sure you can stay 5-6 hours at the loading or unloading dock door. Or more. This place is very very slow. Make sure u get paid for detention time. Hope never ever come here again.

Be on time. You can ignore the signs that say to call before parking because no one answers. You may arrive up to 10 minutes before your appointment time and go straight to the guard shack. They will assign you a door. Unloading usually takes about 2 hours. After unloading, leave your doors open and go back to the guard shack. The guard will check your trailer and then you’ll be good to go. Unloading took about 1.5 Hour not bad my appointment was 11pm Restroom available on site by guard shack building over night parking available on site.

❌ The worst place in the world to unload in HoustonThis is, without a doubt, the worst place in the world to unload. It doesn't even compare to the Austin Coca-Cola plant, which is the best and a thousand times more efficient. I arrived here at 1:30 PM, it is now 9:41 PM, and I am still waiting to be unloaded. This entire delay of over eight hours is due to pure negligence by the person receiving at the gate. Their lack of professionalism and terrible management ruin anyone's day and hours of service. If you are a driver, be prepared to waste your entire day because of their incompetence. A total disrespect for our time!
