About

Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority works out of Houston, Texas on HVAC projects for local customers. The city deals with long stretches of hot weather and high humidity that put heavy loads on cooling systems in houses and businesses. Residents frequently run into trouble with air conditioners that stop working right in the middle of summer when the heat is at its worst. This type of work includes fixing compressors that fail under constant use, replacing worn out filters clogged by the damp air, and making sure ductwork stays sealed against the moisture that can lead to mold or inefficiency. Homeowners count on reliable service to avoid sweltering indoors during those long hot days.

They handle calls for emergency fixes when a system goes down on the hottest days, routine checks to keep everything running smooth through the seasons, and full replacements when old equipment can't keep up anymore. Technicians show up to diagnose problems like low refrigerant or electrical issues in the units, then get them back in order without dragging things out. In Houston the work often means dealing with older homes that have outdated setups or new builds needing modern efficient systems to handle the climate demands. Customers get straightforward explanations of what needs doing and options that fit their situation without extra complications. Crews focus on getting the job done right the first time so the equipment holds up against the weather.

Customers note the crews work fast to get systems back up, do solid work that lasts, keep costs reasonable for the area, and stay in touch about what is happening with the job. This adds up to the solid rating they hold after handling hundreds of jobs across the city. DIRT Score 4.14 from 812 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say

I am writing about a distressing experience i had aboard metro on June 12, 2026. I lost my labubu on the bus heading from Grand Parkway park and ride in June 12, 2026 at 9:05 AM and lost it around 9:45 AM getting off downtown. I panicked when i realized my labubu wasn’t with me so i got off board a bus and was still charged the fare. The app is useless too. It was supposed to notify me when it was going to rice village, but it never did. I was STRANDED in a strange place with no bus station heading that direction so i was forced to call an uber. There is also no clear direction on where the buses go to. I had to ask the driver on 3 occasions where it was going because the stops were never announced. 0/10 customer service too. I reported my labubu lost 5 separate times to multiple metro hotlines and have received lackluster customer service. Below is a photo of what my labubu looks like, and i hope its found soon

Overall, I’ve had a good experience with the service. Buses and routes are generally reliable and helpful for getting around the area. That said, I do wish they would expand their operations and improve how routes are mapped out in the app. It would also be helpful if, when someone is outside a route’s coverage area, the app could automatically show the nearest accessible stop or location instead of just saying it’s unavailable. With a few improvements like that, the system would be even more user-friendly and efficient.

I have parked and ride for the last 2 years in Northline transit center and ride metrorail to the Texas Medical Center many employees leave their cars in the parking lot where the blue lines are designed for hard-working people or customers of metro to enjoy and ride to downtown. Now they have prohibited to park there. Authorities should find a way to help us continue parking in this location.

I last visited the downtown Metro to obtain a new card. Being a Disabled Veteran I enjoy the MVP access. The wait wasn't excessive, the clerk assisting me was courteous and professional. My only complaint with Metro is the lack of public restrooms at the transit centers and Metrorail platforms.

Compliment to Yvonne Rodriguez. Excellent customer service skills, very patient and skillful, did superb job helping me, as a senior citizen get most needed rides. Thank you Yvonne!
