Loftin Mechanical Services
HVAC Contractor · Houston, TX
About
Loftin Mechanical Services handles HVAC work and mechanical systems across the greater Houston area in Texas including nearby spots like Crosby. They bring over 25 years handling service and installation on commercial and industrial boilers, chillers, and piping setups. Their focus covers air conditioning, heating, and ventilation installs along with repairs and maintenance for new construction jobs. Cooling tower replacements, complete ductwork, chiller maintenance, pump and motor repairs, new piping design, insulation, and exhaust fan work form the core of what they take on for local sites and facilities.
Loftin Mechanical Services takes on generator installs for customers but one buyer reported internal damage right after the August setup with no callback for months until December. Their parts counter handles items like Kohler paint yet drivers have run into sudden price jumps from the quoted amount. Forklift crews at the warehouse load trucks at a slow pace that frustrates owner operators making pickups. On some jobs the Houston office team steps in with support from technicians such as Derrick Gregg who assists with coordination across locations when mechanical repairs or maintenance calls come in.
Customers point to repeated problems with slow responses after equipment issues surface, unexpected costs on parts, and delays during loading or service calls that drag out simple tasks. A few mention the Houston staff keeps things moving better than other locations and one notes solid help from specific technicians on coordination. Most feedback highlights frustration with communication gaps and inconsistent pricing that leaves homeowners and operators wary. DIRT Score 1.36 from 11 reviews on Finds.

What Customers Say
“RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS FAST AS YOU CAN !!!! Purchased a generator from them in August of 2024 , after installing We noticed that there was internal damage, We called the company and did not hear anything back for 2 to 3 months, Finally, in December, we got a response from them saying that they would replace The broken parts and fixe the unit. March 12 was the repair date. The Shop sent out the wrong parts and we never heard back from them again. Now they don’t want to take any responsibility And are saying that we damage the unit by dropping it and this is internal damage. Kohler sent out a technician and said that there is internal damage to the unit . We asked them to either swap out the unit with a new one or fix this one and get it to working condition. They offered a $400 discount off the original price to purchasing new one and said if we would like to take in this one they will repair it at our cost. This is a horrible Company to do business with. RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN”
“Called and confirmed Kohler paint was available before I drove across town. Parts guy indicated they did and it was $80.00 per can. I get there and he tells me it’s $172.00 per can. This is typical Loftin stuff, I’ve never had a good experience with them and they generally have the dumbest people working the parts counter.”
“Loftin equipment took 6 hours to get load!!! I was one hour early and the forklift drivers work like snails 🐌. Very disappointed in the place will reject any trip that is associated with this warehouse. My opinion as an owner operator.”
“These guys over here at the Houston office are on top of their game. I would like to thank Derrick Gregg from San Antonio for the help he does for us as well”
“Terrible customer service in the parts department. Took three weeks, numerous phone calls, numerous emails, all to get an incomplete quote. Go elsewhere if you need parts.......just terrible.”
